New Venue - Aria!

Hi everyone!

My finance and I are on a hunt for the perfect venue and we checked out this new venue in Prospect CT called Aria by Villa Rosa this past Saturday. It is still under construction and is suppose to open April-May of this year. Our wedding wont be till June of next year so I am not too worried about the venue opening - I absolutely fell in love with the place even under the construction stage! Only thing I am really hesistant about is we can't do any food tasting unless we are actually booked and there are some more questions I have emailed the sales coordinator but haven't heard back. We did hold our date for the week, and I really want to finalize on our venue but wanted to know if anyone else has checked out the venue? or has even booked it maybe can help me make up my mind?!?!?!

We have an Aria bride here on the boards, so hopefully she can chime in. I *think* they have another venue location or a restaurant- perhaps you could try to food there?

I'm an Aria Bride my wedding is in May of this year there.

I didnt do a tasting because I have been to a zillion functions at the old Villa rosa and I know there food like the back of my hand...ITS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

I have met with Joey everytime i head back up into CT. I live in SC now but both my fiance and I are from CT.

They are amazing to work with and have helped me out in every way possible through this very scary process(the build) lol....Just went and toured the building again over the holiday and its come a very long way from the steel beams.

Any questions you have feel free to ask away....i think I covered it all with him so far lol

I also went and checked them out, and fell in LOVE! Trying to book for June 2014 too! The deals they have for a Sunday wedding is VERY tempting. I thought the place was already beautiful and it's not even done yet, lol. I have been to multiple functions at the old villa rosa and the food was good!

Hiii!
I am also getting married at Aria on June 2014. The place is going to be beautiful. I actually had my engangement party at their old place and the food is fantastic. I would definitely consider booking there.

I cant wait for it to finally be finished!!!!!!!

i have looked at carpet samples, tiles, marble, chairs, dishes....you name it i have bugged them about it!!!!!!

They actually just added some new pics to there FB pages

I promise to post tons of pics once I have them....126 days to go...iy yi yi

Deanna that is SO exciting you are basically the first wedding there!! Congratulations and I know the place will be beautiful once it is done! I haven't met Joey, but I did work with Lory. Are you adding any extra add-ins to your wedding? venecian table, ect ect? I emailed just wondering what all the total cost would be adding all the special ad ins! We are hoping to go back there next weekend to tour the facility again and disucss the final details and book the venue!

And its great to hear about their food at their old venue so we don't really have to worry about that so thank you everyone for the input!

Are you all looking to book the smaller or the bigger ball room??? Either way, they both i think are going to look amazing!

We were only able to book the larger room, the smaller will not be ready by our wedding.... Our wedding is the 4th weekend they are open.....iy yi yi!!!!!!!!! I am adding a few of the extras on the list and one of there specialties that is not on the list.... All the options are priced pretty much the same as other venues....you can tell by reading them which will cost a lot more

Lory is great to work with as well!!!!!!! Good luck and again...any questions.....I'm here

ah you are awesome! Thanks Deanna! I cant waiiit to see pictures from your wedding!! I am sure its going to be gorgeous! I absolutely LOVED the larger room but we both didnt want a big wedding, i kind of wanted an intimate one with 175 people so we ended up choosing the smaller ball room - hopefully it will be as gorgeous as the bigger one! I am going back there this Saturday to finalize everything so i will take some pictures of any additional work that has been done and post it

.......very nervous but I trust it to be fully finished except for the small room like planned

My photographer is Airen Miller Photography Video is Reminisce Video DJ is Frank C Entertainment (photo booth as well) Flowers are O'Rourke and Birch (she is also my JP) Cake is being decided as we speak...finally meeting Monday Limo is also still being decided but hopefully it's MGucci out of White Plains I did my invites and save the dates myself with help from a graphic designer friend I think that's everything...but I am sure I am forgetting some lol We are adding on the carnivale station, the La Toscana Station, and possibly there famous soup....we have a lot of food so I am trying to narrow it down a bit.....

i have heard a ton of rumors about it not being worked on, and not gonna be open, and being in money trouble....but yet my mom has been there twice this week and its being worked on and things are moving along just as they should be....

Waterbury is a very politicy city and everyone is very jealous of this new venue......

all i can do is cross my fingers cuz they have 52 days to be finished for my wedding!!!!!

It looks like the venue is coming along! I corresponded with someone from Aria since my fiancé and I are really looking forward to the tasting and we thought it was going to be April but now it is suppose to be in May.

Deanna - I am glad your mom has been there and things are looking and moving along great! I was nervous for all the brides getting married there in May but the pictures look like things are coming along beautifully!!!

I am heading home for my shower next weekend and have a meeting with aria Friday.....:) So very excited!!!!! And I think the recent photos they posted are froma few weeks ago...so we will see.... They have a wedding and a dinner which friends are going to at the end of April that have not been cancelled so I think a lot of the rumors floating around are just that

I'll know Friday and ill keep you ladies posted!!!!!

It was amazing

Aria is gorgeous to say the least and even with last minute rain we changed from the ceremony on the terrace to right in the foyer and it was beyond beautiful!!!!!!

Can anyone let me know if they are accommodating and helpful during the planning process?? Do they listen to your ideas? We have a date reserved and are trying to decide between them

Aria was awesome to deal with. I live in SC now but am from CT along with my husband. They helped me every step of the way. We booked them before they even broke ground on the building and our wedding was May 24, 2013.

Lory ans Joey are so helpful in every single way, right up to the last minute rain that moved my ceremony from outside to inside in the foyer....which worked out even more beautiful in my opinion!!!!! And yes they listen to you completely. Anything you throw at them they try to do for ya. For example I wanted blue champagne to match my colors and they did it.

I cant say a thing bad about them for the 2 years i dealt with them!!!!!!!
