HELP!!! I cant seem to find a venue!

I have been researching for months now looking for a rustic outdoor venue/ceremony location in socal (orange county area) and i cant seem to find anything! At least nothing reasonable that is...I fell in love with strawberry farms , but i called and they don't allow outside catering anymore, and its $70 a plate for the cheapest option they have!  What i need is a place that lets me bring in my own vendors but with that same kind of outdoors/barn etc. feel. If any of you have any ideas it would be so much appreciated! My wedding is set for june 2012 and I'm beginning to feel a bit overwhelmed. Thanks so much!!

Oh you're in luck! I'm looking for something rustic as well and I have a list that spans from San Francisco to San Diego. I don't know about catering at these places since it wasn't a priority for me... but hopefully a few will work for you

    With a barn:
Strawberry Farms (it is so charming, just like you said)
Springville Ranch (I think you can bring in your vendors there)
    Riley's Farm (super affordable)
Holly Farm (pretty far north, unfortunately)
    Dana Powers House

    Just a rustic feel:
    El Adobe de Capistrano
    Pine Hills Lodge
    SummerBell Room
    Highland Springs Resort
    The Rococo Room

If you're trying to manage to a budget and have a smaller group, try the Golleher Alumni House at Cal State Fullerton.  One thing to know is that you may not save a lot of money bringing in your own catering.  You will have to rent plates, glasses, silverware, serving pieces etc.  We went with our own catering because good food was our number one priority.  We did not save much money doing it that way.  You may want to look into catering cost to determine if it some of your choices with full catering might work in the long run.
