Rustic or modern venue

Hi! I am trying to find a venue within about a half hour of my house, but am having trouble. I live in Milford, so it's not really the Boston area and not really Central MA. We'll be having about 150 guests and don't want to pay more than $50 pp. I love the rustic look of barns, but have already crossed the Barn at Gibbet Hill and Zukas off my list b/c of price and the Smith Barn off my list because of location. I wouldn't mind handling every last detail myself and just renting an empty barn somewhere. I also like the modern look. I really like Spring Step in Medford, but again, it's a little too far. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    What about the Wayside Inn in Sudbury? I can't remember their exact prices but I believe they are below $50pp. It's close to 30 mins from Milford too.

    What about the Codman estate in Lincoln, MA? A little further than a half hour, but they have a barn/carriage house that can be used for the reception.

    Codman Estate carriage house might be in your budget though after catering costs, rental for tent, etc. might be a little pricey...but DEFINITELY rustic, beautiful. Wayside Inn is beautiful- we almost had our wedding there but it's pricey. If you want rustic rustic, places like Smolak Farms in N. Andover is great-barn or tent. Good luck!

    It's about 45 minutes or so from Milford in Rehoboth MA. The lady that made my cake lives in Milford and so does the officiant that we had. I can't reccomend this place any higher. The couple that owns this built it themselves. It looks exactly like the pictures.

    Bittersweet Farms in Westport, MA. Beautiful and rustic venue.

    I second Blissful Meadows.  I got married there last month and cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, food, etc.
