RSVPs...how long are you waiting?

How long is everyone waiting to start calling people that have not sent their RSVP cards back? Our deadline is this coming Saturday and we are still waiting on about 150 people to send their cards back to us! My dilemma is that I know there will be some stragglers but I need to get a count to the caters and do not know how long I should wait before I pick up the phone and call people? Thoughts or what are you doing?

Ours are due Wednesday, May 30th, so I'll probably start calling people early that next week. My final appointment with the reception space is the next week & I need to have all my seating and everything done by then. I gave people over a month so I don't see why I need to wait even longer for those that can't get it together in a month.

We're a week past our RSVP date and I think we'll start contacting folks this weekend. As you can see by the ticker, we still have to hear from 79! We set an earlier RSVP date because we have so many OOT/Military guests being invited and they have to put in for leave ahead of time.

Lol unfortunately one of the couples is involved in the wedding. The guy is an usher (was GM) but they haven't sent in their card after I asked 2 times the week they were due and the week before. He also hasn't gotten his tux fitted after we asked so if he doesn't get it done by the end of this week he won't be able to come

If I had to give numbers to someone, I would probably start contacting people a week before you need them in.

I would like to say I will be patient, but I won't be. hahaha

I would wait at least 4-5 days, if you can. At least in my family, the date due is the date they're most likely to actually put it in the mailbox, and several will pop theirs in that night so it won't actually go out until the next day.

Ours were due May 7, we started calling around May 5. Our plan is to have our final count by midweek next week. Final count to venue at the 2 week mark.

RSVP's are due on a Thursday and I'm giving everyone until Tuesday. So 4 days and I will start making calls.

Mine are due back on a Saturday and I am going to wait until that following Tuesday night.

Mine were due yesterday but to be fair I only have 8 people to contact so even though I'm not freaking out I'm lying if I said I wasn't impatient.

I put out a blast on FB yesterday and 2 of my friends never received invitations in the mail - sidenote, our post office is FAMOUS in this area for eating mail. It never gets to the intended recipients and it's never sent back to the sender.

The venue does need our tentative count by 5-16 but I'm pretty confident the current number will suffice. RSVP frustration avoided!

Our due date is May 18 and thankfully we are only waiting on 11 people. We will be contacting them the Monday after.

Ours are due May 25th, My mother and FFIL will have lists of people to call by the following Friday June 1 - from this they have said they will make sure I have numbers by the end of the weekend! However, since I still have over two weeks, I am really hoping we get a flood of them in soon!

I invited roughly 120 guest. We wanted to keep it at 100 lol. Only 35 people sent in their response cards in even though the cards were stamped and addressed

I started doing fb reminders last, texting this week and then as the final day approaches (5/18) phone calls. After my text messages, I got 79 yes and 2 nos. I need final numbers by 5/25 but I wanted to know earlier in case I had to sub some people in lol.

Wow a lot of you have gotten a lot of responses back, lucky! I have 183 invited with 130 people RSVPing so far (123 yes', rest no's). My RSVP date isn't until June 2nd, and June 3rd I will be giving FI a list of people to contact since most the people not responding are people he invited that I've never met.

ETA: Holy moly, 1 month 2 weeks - that's insane!!

I'm waiting a week after the RSVP date to start calling people. I know some people will think the date means mail by/on it and not please let me have it by then. That's why I gave extra time than my caterers, venue, and I needed to finish stuff.

My due date is May 25 and I need a final count by the 30th so I will be calling the 26th. That gave everyone over a month..so it will have to be enough time.
