My boyfriend of seven years asked me to get ready to go out to dinner. When I asked what the attire should be he said jeans and heels. I had been wanting to wear my skinny neon yellow jeans for white some time and decided it would be the perfect time to wear it - being spring and right before Easter!
I paired the jeans with a white top and white blazer, turquiose shoes and a hot pink bag. I felt like I looked like an Easter egg!
To add to the outfit I added some fuzzy white bunny ears I had picked up at the Dollar Tree.
When my boyfriend came home I told him I was ready and he was in shock since I am always late. He told me he was going to rush and get ready and while I was waiting I took a picture of my outfit and sent him a picture message.
We than proceeded to dinner and went to the Chart House. That restaurant has been a recurring favorite of ours, we have been there on our first date, several dates later, my birthday and anniversaries.
After dinner and many bathroom breaks later (I came to find out he was taking shots b/c he was so nervous) the waiter brought out an egg. I thought the restaurant was running an Easter special and I went to go open the egg. My boyfriend said, read the plate...and it said, in chocolate, "Will you marry me?" After a jump and an "oh my God" I was in shock. The egg was a turquoise blue and the filling was pink. My two ultimate favorite colors which will also be the colors of my wedding. Inside was my ring.
My boyfriend had a speech prepared and I said "YES!"
I didn't know about the Easter egg awaiting me at the restaurant and he didn't know I would dress up in pastel colors and wear bunny ears, it was perfect!
