Photo Locations

Does anyone have any tips on good outdoor and indoor photo locations? I am on the west side and I am willing to do west, south and downtown. We have a 3.5 hours in between and I'm thinking of doing bridal before hand.

I am thinking of doing a first look as well and I want a beautiful back drop for them!

Any ideas? I'd love to see how yours turned out! You can email me at aswoap@gmail.com.

Thanks :)

I think anywhere in the Metroparks - is a great backdrop.  We are having pictures taken at the Coe Lake Gazebo in Berea. Nice scenery/gazebo/bridges/fountain.

We took pics at the Brooker Building in Strongsville. It overlooks Bonnie Park in the Cleve. Metroparks. They have a great space for pics -- both indoors and out. Inside is a winding staircase and fireplace/mantel. Outside, they have a fountain/landscaping in front and a deck that overlooks the Metroparks trees. $75 to rent the whole place for 1 hour.

Gardenview Horticultural Park in Strongsville is a neat, hidden spot for outdoor photos. All you have to pay is admission for each person in your group -- $5/ea -- and ALL of the money goes toward upkeep of the gardens. We were all set to go there, then it rained -- well, POURED for the entire week before our wedding. It would have been too muddy. (April wedding.)

We did our first look at the Arcade (that is also where we got married).  It turned out really well because he was waiting with is back to me at the bottom of the staircase and they got pics the whole time I was walking down... his face, my face, etc.. it was great!  We did group pictures there and then went to the lagoon near the Art Museum.  We got some pictures in front of Severance hall as well.  The lagoon pics were gorgeous, we had great weather.

You can see pictures on pictage if you search Wheeler Moss wedding I think.

Downtown Olmsted Falls (west side near Berea/North Olmsted) has a really nice park area for pictures as well.

We did our outdoor pictures at Edgewater park, which is gorgeous because it has the water and then the Cleveland skyline in the background.

I got married in September. We took pictures at the Cleveland Public Library and the Cultural Gardens on MLK Blvd in Cleveland.  The library was great, I didn't have to pay and got some beautiful shots. There is also a beautiful fountain right behind the building and a garden next door.  I wish we had more time to shoot.  Again, no cost...but you do need to call and give them your information and the date you will be there.
I checked out the BP building and Halle building as well...didn't think the cost was worth the backrounds at either place.

The gardens are absolutely beautiful. The one location I really wanted to shoot had a wedding in progress, but found some other neat locations.  We had to dodge the rain, but still worked out well.

I'm not sure if I can post a link to my pics, so I will e-mail them to you.  If anyone else is interested in taking a peak...email me at ncostilla@msn.com

    Good luck.
