The McNay has a gorgeous inside area and courtyard that you can take portraits.  They are pretty specific about the hour time limit and it does cost $100, but it is a beautiful location and the inside staircase is pretty - and air conditioning is a plus!  I took mine there at the end of June because I really didn't want to be outside, and they turned out great!  Afterwards you can go anywhere on the surrounding grounds to take pictures, which offers many choices.  Or you could just do the outside portion of the McNay (only $20), it's beautiful!

Japanese Tea gardens are pretty. Not sure the look you're going for or how far you're willing to travel but Gruene TX would be good for more of a rustic-y feel. Maybe a hotel downtown?
Best of luck to you and yours!
