BM dress order due date?

Need help !

Our wedding is 7/5/2013. I am not sure when I should ask my ladies to have their dresses ordered. I thought it was 6 months out, but I talked to Pearl's place a second ago and they said Thanksgiving ?!?! Really? I was thinking sometime in the new year such as Jan 15, 2013.

I'm writing the BMs an email now regarding where they can try on the dress (requested), information about ordering from Pearl's Place and the order date ya'll suggest.

It depends. Styles do not always stay around and may go and come according to the season. To ensure the style would still be in stock I made the turn around 2 paychecks ( our agreed upon time).

I made the deadline July 1st. Our wedding is December 2nd. We picked dresses on May 30/31st.

I am a control freak so I made everyone give me the money directly and I ordered them in a group from PP. I will see everyone before the wedding except for 1 ( we all live in about 5 cities).

Well my wedding is July 12, 2013 and the salon that is ordering my bm dresses said October will be good because when things slow down in Jan and Feb this will guarantee they come in by marchApril.. they have 23months for any fittings or body changes.. I am a bit obsessive also....so I would rather they order them so I know its done..

Of course. I'm supposed to be writing so I figured I'd be on the boards lol.

I did it to be sure the order was all the way correct and all of the dresses looked like the ones in the store, etc. It also eliminated them having to pay an extra $20 shipping on top of the dress fee.

It also let me know who actually ordered and who was BSing.

I would honestly tell them the deal and Ask everyone to have the money by November 1st. January 1st is no better because as PP said that is fresh off of Christmas shopping.

How expensive is your dress?

That's what I did. Honestly, I'm not judging anyone but $100 isn't a lot to sacrifice in a month. only 1 person told me they needed to give me half and pay half later but she gets paid once a month so I understood.

Im getting married May 25. My girls will be going dress shopping 10/17 and ill be within 7 to 8 months marks. so I think Jan will be ok for them to order.

My wedding is November 17. I placed the order with PP on 6/4. The dresses came back the week of Labor Day....but because of Hurricane Isaac it was a delay in delivery to PP from Bill Levkoff and to me from PP.

So of course this is stressing me out a bit.

Talked to my MOH and FI last night, who were also surprised by the order date. However, my MOH said things along the lines of M1ssJ about the cost. We decided I would call PP one more time to get all the info (rush information, latest date possible, etc) and inform the ladies today.

MOH and I always had a Plan B, which is ordering satin black dresses from DB, if needed.

Clicky for the dress, in black. I did tell FI that I feel "Stuff" just got real for me about this wedding. Time to rock and roll...

Key it should be fine!! TBH keep the latest ordering date between you and your MOH because ppl will put off separating with their money until the last minute
