Covered bridge wedding need ideas!!

Hello ladies,
I'm getting married during the evening in September at a covered bridge. I have purchased a memory vase to display along with a photo for my grandparents who've recently passed. The set up is like this: Rows of chairs on either side of aisle with hurricane vases filled with floating candles and petals lighting the aisle, with my fiance and I getting married at the end of the bridge which is all open to a gorgeous (think fall colored leaves!) treeline. I do not have a clue how to display my memory vase or know where to put the unity candle. Initially I thought about just renting white pillars and putting my candles on one and the vase and photo on another, however it would look odd since the covered bridge is a rustic red and the pillars are white! My (insane) fiance wanted to put a folding table in front of where we are standing but I feel this looks not only tacky, but it also takes away from the treeline backround! Please give me any ideas you can think of!!!
Thanks!!!
Nikky

Re: Covered bridge wedding need ideas!!

  • a floor standing brass candlestick or pillar holder or candlabra would be cool and rustic for the unity candle.
you could drape the pillars/table in a colored fabric that coordinates with the foliage or surroundings.
  • I am sure you could get a folding table or a small wooden table in a rich dark wood that would compliement.  Maybe something made that would mimic the wood in the bridge?  We are having a table behind us (the alter in the chapel) for the candle, and then just one flower arrangement behind that....I think if you could find a rustic table to match the bridge it would look beautiful.

  • I like it too and will be looking into it! Thank you!!
