I am clearly at home bored . What wedding music will you/ did you pick Prelude: instrumentals of popular songs Processional: lost in this moment big and rich Bridal entrance: feels like home Bonnie raitt Recessional: 1,000 faces randy Montana.
Prelude - To a Nordic Princess - Percy Aldridge Grainger (he wrote it as the prelude for his wedding - and it is a a bit of a joke for us with the title since I am Norwegian but oh-so-not a princess) Processional - Open Window (The Wedding Song) - Sarah Harmer (everyone entered to the same song) Recessional - If I Could Give You More - Harry Connick, Jr.
The only song I've picked that I want to play for sure is a song from the Amelie soundtrack - "Guilty"..it's super cute and will help set the tone for our theme (plus Amelie is one of my favourite movies ever)
We haven't completed our list yet. but so far we A whole new world for our processional; and the Wedding song for the lighting of the unity candle, they will both be sung by a soloist.
I haven't decided how we are walking in yet nor have I ran music by my sweetie. But I would love to walk in with him (not our first marriage and we are NOT traditional) to "Johnny and June" and afterwards "All Summer Long" Kid Rock (which is our song)
For the reception will be just our favorite songs. Probably starting off with some nice 80s love ballads mixed with some modern day stuff.
Our first dance will be at our favorite bar, which is NEVER busy on a Saturday night. It will be to "The Chair" by George Strait. A song we ALWAYS dance too.
We are having a very small wedding so I will just play music off of our ipod/mp3 player.
ugh.. this has been bothering me. All I know is that I want a Spanish Classical Guitarist, but to what songs? I dont know, I know a guy I'll have him decided. phew. But a song that I have been quite certain to play at some point during the wedding is The First Day of My Life.
