Fun plans for the week? Weekend?

Hey guys - anyone doing something fun this week, or have something nice to look forward to this weekend?

Tonight I'm going to a "Fifty Shades of Gray" party at Babeland in the city. Considering I've never even stepped foot in a sex toy shop, it should be interesting! I'm going with a friend and a few of her friends. There's a two-hour open bar, two sex workshops (I think one is on S&M stuff, like in the book, not sure about the other), and they give you a goody bag with a few things to take home. I mostly agreed to go because it was only $25 dollars, and because who doesn't love an open bar - but I'm excited about the rest of it too. Should be a fun/funny night.

I think BF is scared I will come home, chain him to a wall, and beat him with a whip, though.

  • I'm going to keep staring at my engagement ring and moon over the memories of my beautiful proposal from last weekend. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it.

Other than that I have a brick workout Saturday morning, shopping for perfume with FI, and an evening of music with friends at a winery this weekend.

  • I'm just trying to make sure I stick to my diet/exercise plan this week. I've been having trouble losing weight the past couple of weeks and I'm trying desperately to break this plateau.

As for this weekend I'm sure BF has something fun planned. He is planning on proposing soon but is so intent on making sure I'm surprised that he has started planning lots of romantic dates so that I don't see it coming <-- I'm not guessing about this he told me this.

I'm sure we will also be picking up some supplies for our road/camping trip we are leaving on next weekend. We are both SUPER excited for this trip. We've been planning it for months and I'm going to see my BFF who I haven't seen since Christmas!

    That is hands-down adorable.  :)
  • I'm trying to decide if I want to go to this:

This week I'm just trying to make time to get to the gym or go for a run most days.  I also need to work on crossing items off my personal to-do list.  My work to-do list is very small, so I can do that while I'm working.

This is what my FI did when it came to the ring. I knew a time frame when it would be done, and I knew he wanted to give me an official proposal with it, I just didnt know exactly when. Well over the last month and a half we have had some really wonderful dates, and we have several more in the next couple of months planned. Its really kept me on my toes and in the end I've just had a lot of fun with him. So enjoy all these wonderful moments, each one with or without a proposal is special and something to savor.

Me too. Though, I'm working because I was all credit card crazy moving into the new house last month and I've got a vacation already booked for August. I have sooo much work to do to make up for all of it!

  • katniss - that link you posted sounds like a lot of fun.  I couldn't get BF to go though...

Like you Tarra I am just trying to get through the week and swim as much as possible.  Thursday I'm going with my mom to visit my grandma in the nursing home.

There is an Italian festival in town so I know we'll check that out on Saturday night to see the fireworks.  Otherwise we don't have too much else planned more packing and may be picking out new curtains.

I know don't be jealous I lead a very exciting life.

Going to a bday get together for a friend tonight where there will be some people I rather not see again.  On Thursday I'm going to the county fair with Danish Man and friends, we all have made a pact to each eat ONE fried food item.  I'm debating on fried oreos or fried brownie. Then go on some rides till I feel sick. I'm looking forward to attending my granmother's bday dinner on Saturday night.  She's heading back to Vietnam soon since she's at the end of her visit to see us.  She and I are tight!  Add in some SUP, working on the kitchen and quality time with my puppy and hubby and I am satisfied.
  • I am anxiously trying to get through the week since I am on vacation again next week.

We are leaving Fri to go with my family to my grandparents cottage. Sunday when everyone leaves we will head over to his parents cottage for a few days.

  • Tonight I'm going to bacon night at a local bar with H and some friends...yayaya!

We're headed home this weekend for a wedding. It's supposedly super casual, as in wear your shorts kind of casual, so I'm intrigued to see what it will be like.

Mmm...veggie bacon. I have some in my freezer.

My friends want to see "Magic Mike" this weekend. I have zero interest in the movie, but want to see my friends. We also need to start getting things together for our camping trip next Friday.

I'm having to resist packing right now...

  • moocow- definitely not weirdos.
leia- veggie bacon is good I haven't had any since the Bahamas, BF's mom bought some for me for breakfast.  I have no desire to see Magic MIke, either.  Luckily I had plans the night most of my girlfriends went to go see it.

  • I'm on vacation until the 25th! I'm heading to Country Thunder (country music festival) with my younger sister and her friend. We leave Thursday and come home the following Monday. BF took a week of vacation starting next Monday, so when I get home we're going to see The Dark Knight, which I'm super excited for! :)

  • Are we siriusly talking about the weekend already? It's Tuesday, FFS. We're some impatient biznitches. H is out of town until Saturday, but then my birthday is on Sunday so I'm hoping we can do something fun then even though I have to work for a few hours that afternoon. Also, I may be occasionally checking his email to see whether he's ordered the present I asked for. Hey, he left it logged in on my phone. NOT my fault. Lurkers note: I'm expecting a book series, not an engagement ring. I don't condone snooping unless Harry Potter is involved.

Happy early birthday, Elle.  Hope you get to do something non-work related on Sunday.

As to this week...SO and I are going to a wine bar tonight.  I need a drink after my day today.

    This is what I want:

    <a href="http://www.alibris.com/booksearch.detail?invid=11321952291&browse=1&isbn=9780747594567&qsort=&page=1" rel="nofollow">http://www.alibris.com/booksearch.detail?invid=11321952291&browse=1&isbn=9780747594567&qsort=&page=1</a>

I've been wanting that set for a long time, but I had kind of cast it out of my mind until a text conversation with Peek a few days ago.  Then I instantly told H (who had been asking me for weeks what I wanted): "I know what you need to get for my birthday!"
  • mookow, now I want a basket of bacon.  I could break into song about it.

We are going camping this weekend at a regional park that has an observatory.  The local astronomical society is hosting an event.  There will be speakers, day and night time sky viewing through the telescopes, a potluck, and of course the other good times associated with camping (I am referring exclusively to s'mores right now.)

  • Saturday is the 5 year anniversary of the day SO and I met, so we're planning something special, although we're not totally sure yet..  Both of us are really low key, so we'll probably go to our favorite restaurant and spend quality time together that doesn't involve talking about the fur babies or housework.

SO's bff is moving away next week, so we'll also have a bon fire or something in our yard with some friends.

RWS2011: I love your beautiful dance moves pic.  I'm a total math-lete and that is awesome.
