Please help! Officiant canceled for my Nov 25th wedding

Hello fellow Knotties!

I'm trying not to panic.  Breathe!

My officiant just emailed me to cancel because he is being shipped out on duty for the Navy.  My wedding is less than 1 month away!!  All my flights are booked for our families, and everything is set....

Does anyone know an officiant that would perform a small private ceremony in my backyard on Thanksgiving morning?

I live in NY, and we just bought a house in San Diego, so I'm doing my best to work out details across the country....

Thanks!!

Angie

If you're not opposed to having a friend do it, I would look into that. In San Diego, a person can get authorized for a single day to officiate a ceremony. (http://arcc.co.san-diego.ca.us/services/marriage_civil.aspx)

I have a friend who is an excellent officiant in San Diego and she actually used to live in NY so you may have a lot in common.  She has done weddings large and small.  Definitely give her a call or email her -- her website is http://www.ceremoniesbybethel.com.

She's very professional, yet down to earth and will work with you to make your ceremony personal and intimate.

Feel free to email  me if you have any questions -- [email protected].
