Planning a Florida Wedding From another Country

hi, this is my first post and I desperately need help.
My Fiance and I both live in Canada (toronto), my parents also live in Canada, my siblings  live in France, my fiance's family lives in the Florida and some in Jamaica.
My Fiance and I decided to have the wedding in Florida since it's in December and the weather is always nice and we also wanted to make it a Disneyland vacation for the kids.
I'm not too familiar with Florida, so I want to stay close to the Broward County (since it's  where we will be staying)
Our Budget is about  $3000 and we have about 20-25 guests attending. I'm looking for a ceremony  and reception venue that will accomodate my budget (including linens, chair covers and maybe basic decorations since it's around christmas time), we love to dance  so somewhere with a dance floor and the ability to plug in our Ipods and dance the night away.  Please help...thanks

    Def check out the Maxwell Room in Ft. Lauderdale (it's in Broward County). You can have both the ceremony and reception. http://www.maxwellroom.com/

    Also, check out the Chart House in Ft. Lauderdale as well. You could do a beach wedding and then have the reception there. I hear the food is great. http://www.chart-house.com/

    How about 3030 Ocean? I have never been there but looking at what they can offer seems like a nice fit. It seems to have an indoor and outdoor area. Here is their site so you can check it out: http://www.3030ocean.com/

    Another nice suggestion would probably be the Sundy House. It's a bit further than Ft. Lauderdale but it may be a good place to look.

    I agree the maxell room is beautiful!! our rehersal dinner was held there andi loved it.  It is a great space

    Also check out Sea Watch. Its a nice restaurant on the beach in Broward.

    I'd recommend The Red Fish Grill.  Its about 30 minutes south of Fort Lauderdale, but its a hidden gem and very much worth it!
