Hey ladies!

I've been working on creating a site/bio for the board that will include the basic Catholic Wedding info and helpful tips. It will be linked in a sticky with some general info for newcomers.  Please post your ceremony readings and include all references to make it user-friendly. Thanks!

    Second Reading:  Hebrews 13:1-4a, 5-6b ("Let marriage be held in honor by all")

    Second Reading: Colossians 3:12-17 (And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection)

    Gospel: Matthew 22:35-40 (This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it.)

    Ours are a bit unusual, but meaningful to us.

    First Reading: Tobit 7: 6-11, 8:4b-8 (The story of Tobit, plus the prayer of deliverance)

    Second reading: Romans 12: 1-2, 9-18 ("Offer you bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God...")

    Gospel: Matthew 25: 31-36 (the Corporal Works of Mercy/separation of sheep from goats)

    Two from our wedding that I have not seen mentioned here are:

    New Testament reading: Ephesians 5:2a, 21-33 (the "long form" option from Ephesians.)  :-D

    Gospel: The Beatitudes - Matthew 5:1-12

    Both are, of course, included in the "Together For Life" booklet.

    1st Reading: Genesis 2:18-25

    2nd Reading: Revelation Ch 19...I don't know *exactly* which verses constitute the proper reading but it's the Wedding Feast of the Lamb

    Gospel: John 17:1-23

    We went with the "bookends of the Bible" first marriage/last marriage and "May they all be one" for Christian unity.
