Videographer - yes or no??

Help, I can not decide if I should get a video person or not.  Some people have told me - no, it's a waist, and others say, yes, you have to!  We are trying to save money, so I thougt I could may be skip it.  Will we regret if we do not?

    YES YOU HAVE TO!-

Most people that do not have video regret it. If you can budget for ceremony coverage only, I would recommend at least trying to book that with a professional videographer.

I say put your money on the videographer and have family take pics. If you hire a GOOD videographer you will have something that can never be replaced. My husband and I hired a videographer 15 years ago for our vow rene3wal and now we still sit and watch it because so many family members we are able to see walking and talking that are now deceased. Hearing their voices again and having them animated in the video makes them seem like they are still with us. As I said earlier if you are going to hire one, don't settle!! Look at their work and make sure its not just a part time shotting what your family can do. A good one creates a story out of your day. Good Luck and I say don't spare the expense of a videographer for some day you are going to want to remember what Grandma and Grandpa sounded like

We didn't have a videographer, and now I sorta wish we had!  I'd get a good one though.  My BF had a video made, but ended up hating it.  They did a bad job.

I didn't have one many moons ago...and I would give anything to have it now.  Dancing with my grandfather, my grandmother and favorite Aunt dancing and having fun.  My dad and all of his jazz musician friends playing all night in the live band...most of them are gone now.  It would be like having them back, even if just for a moment.
My baby girl is a married woman...and now my baby girl HAS a baby girl. Time unfolds in such an amazing way. I've been blessed!

Yes!!! Want to hire someone who is a professional because they capture the things a photographer won't. Also out videographer put a mic on my husband and they captured the vows perfectly!

yes!!!!!! And if you can, get the videographer to film the rehearsal, that would be hilarious, in my opinion. We're doing that, and I can't wait to see it, lol. I'm having a friend take the pictures.

Our videographer is also compiling our slide slow for the reception.  We sent baby pictures of FI and me through current pictures of us, and she also did "pre-wedding interviews" with us, separately.  It will be a surprise for each of us because we chose not to share our answers to our interviews :-)

I'm SO excited.  You can check it out on her website/blog: www.visualitiesvideography.com / www.visualitiesvideography.blogspot.com !!
