  • This is my set. For some reason, I'm second guessing my rings. I don't know why. Reassure me?? lol

I'm still not sure what ring we'll get for Rudy. There's a couple on Etsy that we like a lot.
  • DeadUtopia, I don't know why you are questioning your set, I think it is BEAUTIFUL!

  • This is FI's band - he's having it custom made in white gold (it's titanium in this pic)

I can't seem to find my exact band, but it looks like this: the setting is curved like my engagement ring and it has a little grove that lets it sit closer to my e-ring. :)
The raised diamonds are flush on the rings, and the band also has a few little diamonds on the band itself (on each side of the raised diamonds).
My band is a bit thinner than this and the diamonds are smaller, but you get the idea :P

    e-ring for reference:

  • Here's mine together as a set:

And FI's band, it was his father's:

  •  E-ring

Unfinished all 3 bands together. He found out that I knew where it was hiding for the last few years and that I used to wear it around when he wasn't home, so I'm banned from seeing the finished product until the day of.

His ring. He bought it because it reminded him of his grandfather.  My immediate reaction was: The faithful one? Right?
  • All I have is FI's band so far. We are in the process of ordering mine, which will just be the matching band to my engagement ring. I can't seem to find it on the company's website though!!! I'll have to take a picture once I get it.

    Here is FI's

I am still undecided on my band. Unfortunately there is a disconnect between my taste and our budget!

I love this band and a few others from Gemarva but they're a tad bit pricey.

I found this one on Amazon for a decent price and it is the one I am currently leaning towards.

I also find these wood inlay ones interesting. I would like something like the narrower one of this set.

FH just wants a plain titanium band. He's easy.

  • We haven't bought yet, but I will have two 1/2 carat  princess cut bands one for either side of my e-ring.

    here's my ring:

What I cant decide is do I want an eternity band or a band with say 5-7 diamonds just on the front?  My solitaire isn't that big- a little over 3/4 carat, but it is in a pretty industrial setting, the band gets almost as thick as the stone and then tapers up along either side of the diamond, and it sits pretty high up:

if the diamonds on the band are too skinny they get lost and aren't worth having.  but I don't want to spend $5k on rings either. I think my best bet is to go channel set, so there's metal between the band and the diamonds to help set them apart and the stones are much bigger in 1/2 carat band with 7-11stones rather than 1/2 carat spread all the way around.
    I'm thinking 2 of these:

He could care less and will probably get a plain whtie gold band, though I told him to pick out something fancy even he only wear it occasionally.  He was worried about work because he works with his hands in confined spaces, and this electricity so you cant have the band that shatter, or the bands that cant be cut off etc...

I'm a fan of infinity bands, but from the women in my family that have them, they say don't get them, since they cant be resized. 2 of the 3 who have them ended up reconstructing the ring and had a few bands or other pieces made with the stones.

  • This is my E ring.

    and on my finger

    (euw I need a manicure!)

I don't have a band yet, FI and I are going shopping Saturday.  I picked one out a couple months ago, but I want to look at it again.  Just a plain band with about 6 diamonds channel set.  They will engrave the edges like the edges of the e ring.

I'm hoping we'll find one for him then too!  I want his band to match my e ring, but he thinks we'll wear down the engraving.

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.
  • Here are ours. The yellow gold band in the middle of FI's is actually his dad's wedding band that FMIL gave to him after his dad passed last year and we had two white gold bands soddered around it. I wish I had a better picture of them they look so much better in person!

  • Here is a picture of my E-Ring. Actually it will be my wedding ring as well. I'm not adding or changing anything. It's my FI's Grandmothers, Mom's Ring. It's super old and completely unique. I don't want to change a thing on it.
As for my FI, we haven't gone ring shopping yet. He says he wants something basic, most likely titanium with no diamonds or anything fun. Guess I get off cheap, j/k! I'll probably find something to upgrade/talk him in to.
