Cute article, any more ideas?

I saw this article about things to do during the engagement period, I was wondering if you guys have other ideas about making this time special.

That was a good article!  I can't really add any other ideas to the mix.  But if you liked that article you would probably also enjoy reading The Conscious Bride by Sheryl Paul.  It covers a lot of the same topics, and how to deal with the emotional side of engagement.

We started a few charity projects and that has helped us come closer together in problem solving. We just bought a house and lots of furniture without a siggle glitch-kind of suprising, because we don't have the same tastes.

I took up cycling ( never learned how as a kid) I suck at it, but he likes the fact that I'm trying. And he took up baking, his tarts may not be eatible yet, but he's good with fruit pairings; peach-basil pies, pear rosemary tarts...

It may not sound special, but we did a 6 session couple counseling gig (pre marital) it was the best $600 spent- totally put us back into the 'honey moon' stage for a few months. We made a ritual out of it- every Sat morning before we'd head out to the session, we'd go on a romantic walk, a fancy brunch afterwards to talk about our 'homework'. Not that it was all roses, but it brought us closer together like never before. I can't explain it well, but I'd rather do that then go to Hawaii again. We actually decided to do that every few years just to keep the lines of communication unclogged. :)
