Boston bachelorette, what should we do?

A little clueless here... I want to go out and party but I don't want it to be too raunchy (no male entertainment). 
I want to be able to do stuff where wearing a fancy dress and having fun having lots of drinks would fit .. ...! So going out, lots of partying but being able to dress nice and be in a nice establishment-- I am clueless here because I don't go out much
I'm being asked what I want to do but I need ideas to give thanks!

    A trip to Foxwoods would be nice i know a lot of brides around here who have done that and it was a blast.

    if you want a fun dinner before going out, I think Lolita's is a great place to start.  Besides that there are some good bars/clubs around the city.  If you want club type you can go to The Estate, Liquor Store, Felt to name a few.

    We just had a friend's bachelorette party in Boston and pretty much did exactly what you are looking for.  We had dinner at Scampo in the Liberty and then went to Alibi which is on the first floor of the hotel.  Alibi is great in the summer because they have an awesome patio so you can be outside.  You can get dressed up and have tons of fun partying but you don't have to be in the atmosphere of Faneuil Hall.  We had a great time!

    You might also want to consider some of the places down on the waterfront in South Boston.  You could do a nice dinner at Morton's, Salvatore's, Del Friscos, Jerry Remy's, the Barking Crab, etc. Most have a pretty good bar scene after hours and definitely attract a more well heeled crowd.  I know the line at Remy's gets very long at night....

    I think the venues you choose would depend on the time of year.  For instance, you'd want to go to a location with lots of choices nearby if it's winter to avoid walking....

    I would suggest one AWESOME fancy cocktail at Drink before heading out... Ingest the high-quality alcohol before getting too tipsy.  Drink is also on the waterfront, so you can start there and go somewhere like Strega for dinner, or just head upstairs to Drink's sister restaurant Sportello.

    If you find yourselves in the Boylston Street area, an end-of-the-night cocktail on the Rattlesnake roof deck is not to be missed.

    Have SO much fun!

    I third Jaques, so fun, have been for a million bachelorette parties but fun every single time! I would check out some newer loungy places, Cure, Splash etc vs liquor store, but thats just me personally. :)
