I am newish, I lurk quite a bit but haven't posted on here before. My wedding is April 21st, 2012. So far, I think I am in the right direction, I have my dress, venue, bridal party, centerpieces (mockup), DJ, catering. A couple things however that I wanted opinions on:
- Silk flowers vs. real (for centerpieces only) Of course real flowers are awesome, but there is always the potential for wilting and it is quite a bit of work the day of. If I use silk, then it is ready to go...but then i am using silk...I have mixed emotions about it.
- Kids. I am having 3 flower girls and 1 ring bearer (so of course they will be there) but otherwise I am hesitant to invite any children. Space is limited max 120 if we exceed that the venue will take our deposit and kick people out. (it's not the venues fault, this is in fact what i signed up for - otherwise they are perfect and delightful :-) ) normally I wouldn't care but FI's brother will have a nephew who we want there for photos and his cousin has a daughter with special needs and so i am concerned about that....of course I would make an exception for her, but then i just feel like It's one more child one more exception and the list goes on. I feel bad being so cut throat, but when it comes down to it i truly have to because of space. Are you guys having kids or anyone else dealing with this?
