Photographers around $600

Does anyone know of a good photophraphers whose pricing is around $600.. I am having a small wedding and have a small budget and I am having a hard time trying to find a photoprapher who is within my budget. On the budget tool on here it ssays my budget for photos is $560. So I would like to stay close to that. So if anyone knows any places PLEASE let me know.. I AM STRUGGLING!

    You should call local photographers and give THEM your budget. Don't just ask them how much they charge. A lot of photographers charge for the things they do AFTER the photographs are taken. Explore options like only getting your photos on a CD instead of getting printed copies or a picture book. $600 is not a bad budget for a photographer. Ask them what you can get for your price, negotiate, and it what they are willing to offer is not satisfactory...Move on.

    One thing I DO know is that photography is all about the person's time and effort, and NOT about the cost. That's why they can afford to be flexible with their pricing.

    Also explore the option of having a photographer at your ceremony and for your bridal party pictures, but letting your guests take pictures at the reception. I've known couples who do this and it save a lot of money. You're shaving off 3-4 hours of photgraphy time right there.

    We have VCU's art school right here! If you can appreciate the artistic side, look for a student.

    Don't know where you are located, but you can find some good companies on craigslist.com

    Are you anywhere near the Charlottesville area? If so, I can reccomend a photographer for you. We hired her a few weeks ago and our package is only $700. That's for 4.5 hours and it includes a CD of photos. We are adding a set of prints for $150 and possibly an album or two. Please let me know if you would like her name and contact info!

    Word of caution about craigslist...there are more & more  folks getting higher grade digital cameras & quickly become self proclaimed photographers. You'll get what you pay for. Yes its possible that you can find someone on there just starting out, wanting to add to their portfolio & will give you a "deal"...all i can say is "buyer beware".
    Ask for references, find a photographer whose style is what youre looking for.

    Check out April Renee Photography.  Her prices are reasonable and she may be able to work out a special package just for your needs.  She is our photographer and we love her.  She was very flexible with us and reworked her package to cater to our needs.
