North Carolina Venues

Help!
We are still trying to decide on having a beach or garden wedding. If we do a beach wedding, we might either have our reception at The Ocean Club or the Atlantic Beach Sheraton. If we have a garden wedding, the choices are Castle McCullough or The Landmark. What are some other ideas for a garden or beach wedding in North Carolina.

Not really the same, but one you should consider: http://www.highgrove-nc.com/

The Highgrove in Fuquay just redid their tent/reception hall. It's now more of a ballroom type thing, but I think it's really pretty.  You get the mix of outdoor wedding by the lake and then really nice room for reception.

I'm having a beach wedding and looked at the Atlantic Beach Sheraton. Comparatively, you can get a LOT more for your money somewhere else. We ultimately decided on having our beach wedding at Fort Fisher State Park and the reception at the Fort Fisher Aquarium. If you want to stay in the Atlantic Beach area, I know the Pine Knoll Sholes Aquarium also holds receptions. For the same price as the Sheraton, we are getting a much nicer venue and have the freedom to choose whatever caterer we want.

I live in that area, so i go to both often! The Sheraton is a great venue and so is the Aquarium. We went to a wedding show at the Sheraton and then for all the guests who registered early and stayed at the hotel, they had a special dinner and fake wedding reception set up.

We had our wedding at the Surfside Center on Topsail.  Beautiful spot and very affordable.  Not suitable for large weddings though.

I'm having a vineyard wedding in the middle of Angier.  It's really afforadable and so beautiful and they have the tables and chairs there and you don't have to rent.  Its a beautiful place.  High grove is nice but it costs way to much.  My in laws live in Fuquay and I wouldn't dare get married there.  I've heard the food wasnt what you pay for..

Gregory Vineyards in Angier.  They are great.
