My venue offers sheet cake with the meal, so I was planning on using that for my guests. I thought I had some gluten free guests so I was going to use a small gluten free cake for the cake cutting.
However, my FI's family said there's only about 2 people who would need gluten free and they're not that interested in cake anyway.
So now I don't know if I should just not get a "decorative" cake and skip a cake cutting? I don't want to waste money on a cake when I'm already getting sheet cake for free. But it seems awkward to serve cake at a wedding without a cake cutting.
Does anyone have suggestions for getting something to replace a cake for cake cutting? Or should I just buy a little cake? Perhaps get one from Costco or a grocery store?
