I'd love to do a choreographed number, but FI doesn't dance that well lol

We'll probably do the good old high school sway, but he may throw some of our country swing dancing moves in!  = )

    We're just wigging it!  = )

I'm really hoping to do a waltz, or at least some sort of choreographed dance. FI said he would take swing dancing lessons in the past, so I think I can get him to take wedding dancing lessons. :)

We are not much for dancers so we will just sway and then we plan to do a little dip at the end. :)

    We'll be doing a Foxtrot! :)
FI really wanted to learn how to dance for our first dance and it has been so much fun!

We took community Ed ballroom dance lessons because my DH has absolutely no sense of rhythm (which is odd because he was in marching band!) and is really a terrible dancer.  We were going to fox trot but he stepped on the hem of my gown and it got him all flummoxed so we ended up just swaying.

Jon and I choreographed it ourselves Tuesday night :-) We're doing it to Lucky by Jason Mraz so it's a bit too upbeat for just a sway or normal waltz, so we are using waltz elements with lots of spins and fun moves

    We totally did the 'sway'.

My DH isn't the world's most coordinated dancer, so I wasn't going to force him out of his comfort zone. However, my dad and I were a different story for the father-daughter dance.

My dad grew up in the Detroit suburbs in the 60s, so he's pretty much programmed to be an awesome dancer... and he passed that on to me and my sisters ;-) So, we picked an upbeat song that allowed for a few ol' school Motown moves. It was fun.

We took one lesson and it was so much fun. DH said we could go take more because he actually enjoyed it. However one lesson is not enough to learn a new dance for the wedding so the night before the wedding we stayed up late trying to practice then just decided to do the sway with some spins...

Funny story though, when DH spun me the first time during our dance the strap on my dress popped off, and being the clever guy my DH is he mouth and held up one finger to say "one more" to our guests. They all laughed. I guess that helped keep me from being too embarrassed.

We took dancing lessons so that we could swing and waltz at the wedding. Never happened. My dress was too gigantic to do much more than sway in. We'd have fallen down in 30 seconds if we'd attempted it. So glad we opted for the high school sway!
