Center City wedding photos

Hey girls, have any of you had your wedding photos taken in center city or do any of you plan to? We were planning to do ours at LOVE park and in front of city hall and then one other location, but not sure which. Also, my sister told me the other day that for some of those locations you need to get permits and they could be $250 per location. Is that true? I know I can look this up on google..planning to do some research.. but I thought when I looked before LOVE Park (JFK Plaza) said there is no fee for wedding picture permits? I know there is a fee for Fairmount Park though. I thought my photographer would know this information, but since she is based out of NJ I'm not sure if she does... she has taken a lot of engagement session photos in center city (including ours) but I don't know if she has done a wedding there yet.
Does anyone know which locations require permits and which do not? Thank you so much in advance!

    Here's the permit:

I'm also planning on doing photos around the city - Love Park, City Hall, and the Art Museum area. We paid $50 per hour for our permit. I think it covers all the locations, but I'm not entirely sure about this.

ETA: I also don't know if certain locations require permits and others don't. The permit says "all approved locations" but doesn't specify what they are. Hopefully someone else can provide a better answer to your question!

Thank you, I did see that permit form for Fairmount Park, but it didn't list *which* locations so I was confused.
    I did find this article
    http://www.articleclick.com/Article/Great-Wedding-Photography-Locations-in-Philadelphia/1045680
which says the $50 permit is for Art Museum (which is considered part of fairmount park) and places like JFK Plaza and Rittenhouse square are free!

When you got your permit did they give you a certain time for the photos? Someone said the reason for permitting is so there is only one bridal party there at a time (for JFK plaza for example, there are no permits so you have to wait in line if there are multiple bridal parties there that day)
    Thank you!

  • that's a really helpful article, good to know which places are free! When we filled out the form we just put the time slot that we planned to take pictures. When we got it back it had the time listed on it. I sent it about 3 months before my wedding. It's possible that they may limit the amount of permits on each date.
