I wish I had pictures, but I left my camera at my moms, so I don't have any.

My 1st shower was last Sunday and it was wonderful! It was a gorgeous day outside. My grandma offered up her back yard and house for the shower. I couldn't have asked for a better day! And I wrote out all my thank yous last night so that is off my mind.

I also booked my rehearsal dinner venue this weeek. It's been a busy wedding week! And it's about to get busier!

We finally found and booked a DJ, YES! After every lead we had bailed it's nice to finally have that taken care of. And it's only costing us $400. Win Win. And as a plus Fi got along great with him. I was kinda worried cuz of course FI has both eyes on the check book and was not all the happy when he heard how much it was. But they both are big country fans so they hit it off right away. Ahhh peace of mind.

I don't have a pic on hand but I had my shower on sunday. It went great! Everything looked awesome, and all my family came together to make sure everything was done and taken care of. I truly love and an grateful for n ot only my family but Ken's as well. And my aunt made a ROCKIN' cake! I wish I could hook me camera up and show you. And on top of that Ken's aunts offered to take care of the reception, so we really don't have to pay for anything food wise from what I understand. Which is a major blessing. I'll say it again I LOVE my family.

And my mom's friend (sorority sister) is hosting a shower for me on the 25th for all of my mom's friends that have known me my whole life, and my aunt is hosting a shower for me on october 1st for my dad's side of the family -- the cute thing is both hosts have the same invitations! (but shhh...I'm not saying anything. I don't want to be a buzzkill! - my aunt would be a little hurt because she was so excited about them)

Early AW and I promise to post pictures later!

We are getting another pooch!

The rescue is coming over this evening for a in home visit and as long as everything goes well (which there really shouldn't be any problems) then they will leave him with us!

We currently have a 4 year female black and white sheltie. The new rescue is 5 year male dark sable sheltie. I can't wait to see how they do togehter tonight!

We finally picked out colors! I had been stressing about this more than anything else. It's nice because things are finally starting to fall into place as far as decorating goes.

Booked our honeymoon! Were going to Italy, here is the villa we will be staying in, just outside of Florence!!!

We are buying a house! I've been waiting to tell people, because we wanted to make sure it wasn't going to fall through. But, we got the appraisal back yesterday and it's valued just above our purchase price. So, we should be good to close any time now!

And...30 days until I'm married! Woo Hoo!

OMG I am full of Awww's and I will post pics later on I promise:

Today we are in single digits 9 days til the big day. We applied for our marriage license today Whooo Whooo to that. We paid off our reception and got a ton of extras for once. We stopped by the Spring Hills Marriott where were are getting dressed and so FI could see the rooms and the manager gave us the board room for the ladies to get hair and make up done in at no extra charge. I have 9 BM plus both moms and 2 hostesses getting ready that day and she figured it would be more comfortable for us to set up shop in the board room so i am extra excited for space for the day of!

Now that we paid off the reception we are completely finished paying off EVERY SINGLE VENDOR. Everyone has a zero balance which was hard but we got it done.

We ended with 243 people total that will be in attendance to our wedding and reception. We did have to replace a GM today but its cool we recovered nicely. Yesterday was my last day at work until October 3rd so now I can honker down and get everything done.

I finished the table numbers last night and my sister and I will be working on the escort cards. One of my work vendors offered to print my wedding programs for free which is awesome because KINKOS wanted $2 to print each of them which was so not in the budget so as a wedding present they are printing 300 of them for me for free!

I had my office bridal shower on Tuesday and it was great. They had all my favorite things, pickles, sour patch kids, chewy lemonheads, they order papa romanos pizza and the made a delicious chocolate cake with reese cup pieces on top it seriously looked like a wedding cake two tiers with orange and chocolate of course. Then she made pineapple and lemon cupcakes with orange creamsicle icing. DELICIOUS!

They had some of my volunteers there and one made me an awesome photobook with pics of me and FI, coworkers and friends filled with advice and love quotes. Another volunteer made me a jumping broom with the wedding colors it was such a huge surprise and something I wanted to DIY but never got around to it now we get to jump the broom which is awesome. The greatest thing was everyone int eh office put in to get us a corner suite at the MGM Grand Casino for the night of the wedding. They told me wither I could keep the reservation or just use the cash for whatever we want. I am leaning towards not using the suite since we will only be there for 8 hours before its time to check out and i would rather get the suite a different time so that we can fully enjoy it.

My unity cross came in the mail, the custom chucks we ordered for the Jr. Groom and Ring bearer came in the mail, my veil came in the mail which looks great on, I pick up my aisle runner tomorrow which I am excited to see.

My bachelorette party was last weekend and it was awesome. I got some great naughty gift, had a chocolate penis cake, went to a pole dancing class and then went to a club in downtown Detroit. We all wore black and purple and we had a BALL. My sister and i also stayed in the hotel that we got ready at in downtown Detroit which was great (I love hotels LOL)

Ok I think that sums it all up for me this has been and awesome week and just think next week I will be a MRS!

We got our save the dates out! Although I was really annoyed with FI...he was helping me with them, and he didn't think it mattered what direction the stamps went on (?) and put several of them on upside down. I got a bit snippy with him but all in all I let it go...he doesn't get sometimes why I care so much about the little details, which has its ups and downs. Overall I'm glad for his laid back attitude, he helps put things in perspective when I'm having a bad day. I'm happy the STDs are done and out

Sent in our contract/check for our string quartet...I'm so pumped about this one. This is going to be one of my favorite details of the wedding. The WP will be coming down the aisle to "Don't Stop Believin!"

Met with the caterer (Detroit Beer Co.) last week. Their director of sales/catering, Jennifer, is AWESOME and I am really looking forward to working with them. We are working on making our menu selections, and we will be heading in for a tasting within a week or two

NWR: FI and I are looking at lofts this weekend, and more than likely choosing one! We had been going back and forth about whether to buy a house in the burbs or move back to the city for one last "hoo rah" while I go to law school and before babies. We LOVE the city and I am so excited to move back. We are looking at the E & B Brewery Lofts in the Eastern Market and several of the Boydell/Loft place properties. I'll be back to AW with pics next week if we pick one.
