Rehearsal Dinner

When you were looking into places for the rehearsal dinner did you tell them that it was a rehearsal dinner or did you just say dinner party? The reason why I'm asking is if they jack up the price as everything else seems to be more pricer for weddings.

We're probably just having dinner party at our house the night of rehearsal.

We said rehearsal dinner. Everywhere we were looking at sent us their event menu (or had an event menu online). I did not get the sense that we were sent menus that were any different from if it was a different type of party.

Ditto uppereast. They had a "banquet menu" online, so it didn't seem to matter what the occasion was.

my MIL did all the work on this, but yes, she stated it was a rehearsal dinner. lying gets you nowhere and makes the restaurant angry/upset if they find out differently.

same as PPs, there was a menu online for "events".

As everyone else said, there tended to be a banquet menu which would have been the same price for a different type of event.

Same here, they have 2 packages for parties, doesn't matter what event.

My answer is the same as everyone else. Every place we looked had a set price for any type of event.

Plus, I don't see any reason why a rehearsal dinner would be more expensive than any other type of occassion.
