Wedding Challah

Hi everyone -

For those of you who did the challah blessing, can you please tell me when you did it (and how it fit into your other wedding reception events such as the first dance, horah, father/daughter, etc). Also, if anyone has a link to a good resource on the process for the challah blessing that would be very helpful. TIA!!

I didn't do it, but this is the order I usually see:

entrance
first dance
hora
toasts
challah blessing
1st course

We actually did the challah blessing in the sukkah immediately following the ceremony, before proceeding on to the reception. Of course, this is a possibility only if your wedding occurs during Sukkot.

beginning dinner courses with speeches at planned intervals
