My concern with this is the melting factor. Like PP, as long as it's going to be in an air conditioned area all the time it should be fine. Make sure it isn't left anywhere where it could melt before you get it to the venue (like in a parked car while you quickly run into a store or something).
Another thing to consider is that some guests may not have air conditioning in their cars, and would therefore potentially have a mess on their hands by the time they reached their destinations. I would do some other edible thing that isn't temperature sensitive, like a cookie or a brownie (preferably one without melty bits like chocolate chips, etc., if possible). We're doing biscotti for our favors, because it is not affected by weather and keeps for a few weeks at room temperature.
Yeah, doing things in summer months does add that extra layer of difficult that no one thinks of until it's too late. Or at least I didn't, lol.
