Wedding Venues for 300 guests

My fiance and I are having a large wedding, and as much as possible we'd love to have it in NYC (which includes Brooklyn and Queens). We're open to going up to Hudson Valley as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a venue that's not astronomically expensive? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Re: Wedding Venues for 300 guests

  • How much are you looking to spend? Me and my FH are getting married at the Riviera in Brooklyn. They do one wedding at a time and can fit up to 300 people. If you are looking for a good price, you may want to look into a Friday or Sunday wedding. Me and FH are getting married on a Friday and it's so much cheaper.
  • Hey Ujocdeelovely.  I have visited sooo many venues and was going to check out the Riviera but felt they were going to be too expensive.  Would you mind sharing what their prices are?  I desperately need help with a venue! Thanks so much!
  • That's funny that you say that because me and DH felt the same way! We visited soo many venues in Long Island but the problem was traffic and trying to be in the middle for our guests. I wasn't going to visit the Riviera at first because one of my good friends had gotten married there and told me they were kinda out of our budget. I ended up calling anyway because I had some type of hope that they may be able to work with us.

Out of all of the places we visited, the Riviera gave us the best price and we are getting more for our money! I believe we spoke with John and we told him that we had a budget we wanted to stay in. He was totally cool with that. He gave us a price for $127 p/p before taxes. This price included 2 hour cocktail hour, 12 choices for dinner (guests can get seconds or thirds of anything they want!), Viennesse hour, and ceremony(getting married in their garden). They are giving us 7 hours total! The Viennesse hour is optional but we decided just to do it. It's a little more than what we wanted to pay but we are saving in other areas since we are using their DJ.

If you need any other help feel free to contact me!! Good Luck!!
  • I private messaged you Ujocdeelovely!  Thanks!
  • Thank you ujocdeelovely! I'll add it to my list of venues to check out :)

There are a bunch of venues in New Rochelle on the water that can accommodate 300 guests..  Surf Club, Glen Island,etc..
  • since you're on a budget for a large number of people maybe you should consider hiring a wedding planner who normally does budget weddings on a dialy basis. that way they already have established connections and know all the affordable places that still offer good service.we recently hired elite(b)events and she specializes in elegant unique weddings on a budget. so far she is great to work with, has great reviews, very knowledgeable, very professional, and the best part is she specializes in budget weddings! check her out she may be able to help you.
