Hair & make-up vent/Pink Comb Salon?

I am having the hardest time booking these vendors, so frustratedddd.

I had a trial with Gina last week, which was okay, but I felt like the make-up was way overboard for me and looked super cakey.  There was some confusion about the appointment time, so I ended up going to her house and I'm wondering if she rushed it or something since I've loved everyone else's trial pics from her.

I tried to set-up a trial with Michelle LoConte hoping to see what airbrush looked like and she's booked for my date...so I'd need to use the make-up artist and hair stylist from Pink Comb Salon.

I've seriously exchanged maybe 15 emails with them today (all concerning info i already supplied in first email), plus i called yesterday and they were like, we need you to fill out this worksheet before we book you for a trial. I get the worksheet today and it's like 5 questions with 1 words answers... is it really that hard to take down that info over the phone? Ridiculous.

Has anyone else used the make-up artist (Angela) or the hair stylist (Rosalie) from Pink Comb?  Any other vendor recs in Passaic/Morris area? Doesn't have to be someone who travels, prefer make-up offers airbrush...that's about it.

I recently had my trial with Michelle and thought she was great. As far as the salon itself, there are some really great reviews/photos of Rosalie on facebook. Friend the salon and you'll be able to see them. I think Michelle is just into paperwork and having a paper trail for everything but once you meet them all I think you'll feel more at ease. Good luck!

Yea, I think the frustration is draining me and my patience is low right now.

I did the see the FB pics for Rosalie and they looked nice, but Angela only has 7 pics on there and most are not close up...so it's hard to tell what her work is like.  It's definitely not a cheap trial either (airbrush + hair is $140).  So, it would only feed my rage if it was bad haha

I used Jillyan Scarpa of Skin Bar and Paint, She is amazing for makeup, I've never used her hair girl though.  She does airbrush, her trials are 50 for makeup, though day of makeup (coming to you) is 150 for the bride.

Ditto Cheryl for Jill Scarpa, she is incredible! I'm using her hair person Jamie for my wedding in June and thought she did a phenomenal job. My trial was $150 for both and day of is $150 for each

I used Jeanine Mangan for my make-up. She was amazing and has a ton of amazing reviews on wedding websites.

I hope you find someone soon, it gets to be a pain in the neck. I had a hard time finding hair so I know your pain.

I have heard that Michelle is great and she runs a tight ship meaning she insists her girlls are on time, and are very good at there craft.

    Good Luck!

I used Angela from pink comb salon for my make up and all my girls and I loved her. She was super easy to get in touch with and always answered my questions. I didnt feel like my make up was too much or cakey either. I would give her a shot.

    her e-mail is angela@pinkcombsalon.com

Michelle was booked for my date as well.  I ended up booking Rosalie for my hair and she is WONDERFUL.  Totally recommend.
