Engagement Photo locations needed Please

Hello Ladies!

I am looking for help on engagement pictures.  I am in the northern suburbs and wanted to ask the board, what are good spots for engagement pictures?  I was thinking we could go downtown Chi for pictures near the lake, but if we don’t get the opportunity to do that what are other great places.

So far I have one location:  Cantigny

TIA

Chicago Botanic Gardens are pretty, but I think you have to pay a fee to take pictures there. I would check on Cantigny too (if there is a fee), same thing with Morten Arboretum. Lilcia Park in Lombard is pretty too and free. DH and I went to a local park in Schaumburg for our e-pics. It was fall though and there were a lot of trees so it was really pretty. Hope that helps.

Believeinlove--Thanks!  Those are great suggestions!  I totally forgot about the Schaumburg Park (by the police dept, I think).  LOVE your colors, purple and silver.  Mine will be black and silver.  Smile

I just thought of another spot, Long Grove.  Smile

If you're coming out to Cantigny, you might consider Adams Park in downtown Wheaton or even the campus of Wheaton College.  Both beautiful locations.

The Long Grove area is really nice, as is Independence Grove in Libertyville.  The Lakewood Forest Preserve throughout the Wauconda area is pretty.  There is an open public "beach" in Lake Zurich off of Old Rand Road and Route 22, as well as a paved "shoreline" downtown in Lake Zurich on Route 22.  Twin Lakes Park near Palatine is nice.

We're doing the lookout bluff at Glencoe Beach, the botanic gardens (yes, if you drive, you have to pay for parking.  But the trolley from the Glencoe train station is free!), and the park by the beach.
