Wrong dress

So I've gone for 2 dress fittings and I still don't love my dress. And wedding is less than 2 weeks. Ive always doubted my dress when I got it. I've always wanted an edgey dress but instead I got talked into a traditional dress. I thought it was normal to feel this way. But now I really don't like it.

Re: Wrong dress

  • If you went for traditional chances are years down the road when you look at your pictures you'll be happy you went with something more traditional and not with some current cool trend. I'm sure you'll look gorgeous! Don't dwell on it now since you can't change anything at this point. Maybe you can add some fun edgy accessory!

<div>I think the previous poster has it in suggesting an edgy accessory. Maybe some bling (bridal belt, brooch)? What kind of "edgy" had you been wanting?</div>

Can you dye your crinoline or wear leopard underpants to add some spice? Granted only you and your H will know about the undies, but it might make you feel better.
  • That's the dress I purchased. you wouldnt' be able to see the crinoline.  no room for brooch or belt.  I pictured myself in a dress with feathers or tulle.

<div>The detailing is very modern. I see what you're saying--there's so much going on with the dress that it would be hard to add to it.</div><div>
</div><div>Do you have undergarments that will poof out the bottom for all it's worth?</div>
  • I think your dress is lovely. I agree with the PP that when you're looking back on your pics, you will be happy you went with traditional and not something that will likely be dated in a decade.

Search Etsy for some killer accessories.

I think it's too late to order anything online. I live in Canada so shipping takes longer. And everything here costs more. I've already purchased a short reception dress behind FI's back. I just knew that the wedding dress wasnt me. A hair piece here can go anywhere from 50250. So no more room in the budget for my attire. Especially when I went got my fantasy shoes. Louboutins!!!!!
