Belle isle casino

Hey all! I am going to be looking into the belle isle casino and could use some tips. I know they are bad with dealings over the phone but have heard they are great when you go there in person. I heard they release dates in July...does anyone know more about this, as I am looking at October 2013? Or know how much deposit to have ready? Thanks for any and all help!

    I looked into it a little bit last year. From what I know they release the dates in July. You have to go wait in line and when they get to you hope your date is open and pay $500 (I think) to reserve it.

    I decided against it because I had heard over and over how hard they were to work with.

    I'm not sure about the dealings over the phone but they are great in person. I've shot some weddings there and the entire island is beautiful, the staff were very nice, and everything ran very smoothly!

    Welp, I am getting married there this October. The bookings start in July and you need a $300 deposit. You should be able to book now. So far they haven't been THAT bad, but I am freaking out a little at the fact that the isle could possibly be closed due to the city not having any money. The hours they have available kind of suck too. They have it so that you can only get in 2 hours prior to the wedding to set up (but can buy up to 2 additional hours) and only add on 2 hours at the end of your time as well. I am starting at 5 but then that would mean our event would be over at 11, which frankly I feel is too early. I am going there tomorrow to figure out if they will give me some more time. It ends up being sorta pricey though :/

    I wanna know if you confinced them to give you more time I would love for my reception not to end at 11 if it starts at 5.  When I reserved it in June they said you could only add 2 hours on and I did but I really could use a extra hour added.

    I put my deposit down on june first for august of 2013.  I would call there or go down there asap to see if there are still dates available for October.  It was 300 down and you have to pay the rest 60 days before you wedding :)
