So excited!

I am about to burst with excitement for my friend. She told me this morning that she is pregnant...

with TWINS.

I didn't believe her about the twins part until she showed me the ultrasound picture, and yep there are definitely two babies in there!

She's not going completely public with the news for about two more weeks, but this was such exciting news I had to share it with someone!

I still can't wrap my head around twins. She will be a great mom. :)

Conceiving twins is both my greatest hope and fear in life.
    That's so exciting!

I think that's what she's hoping for too.

Hahaha, I feel the exact same way. If I could be "efficient" and get all of my kids out of the way in one pregnancy, that would just be the bees knees <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-tongue-out.gif" border="0" alt="Tongue out" title="Tongue out" />

My friend that is a new mom (of only 2 months) balked when I told her that. She said it would just be way too hard.
I told her that I know plenty of twins that survived well past their 20's and seemed to be fine. :)

Twins run in my family, as well as my expecting friend's .

It scares me to think that I could have two babies at once, but then again, the comment about efficiency does makes it seem pretty appealing!

My friend has joked a lot in the past about how she just wants to have two and get it done all at once. I guess her wish came true!

<div>Me too!  On top of the fact that I would love to be pregnant once and done, I'm also nervous about my age.  I know plenty of older women who have had babies, but I've read about so many more complications as you get older.  We're planning on TTC as soon as we're married in November.  I'll be 32 and I would be 33 when the baby would be born.  I think we'd want to wait 2 years between children, so I'd be 35 by the time we'd have a second baby.  I know it's not that old, but it still makes me nervous.</div><div>
</div><div>Anyway, OP, congrats to your friend!</div>

DH and I have said that if we do have kids, we really don't want more than 2, and in my opinion, the less pregnancies, the better. Obviously, if we have one and then I get KU with twins, we'll deal with it, but twins on the first try? He's scheduling a vasectomy before I get discharged from the hospital, lol.

If you get twins on the first try, that's probably not a bad idea. Could you imagine if it happened twice? What would be the odds of that.

I would be way too scared of it happening twice in a row. I'm pretty sure the odds of it are really slim ... but seriously, why take the chance?

I'm sure she was just "napping." Haha, with a little help from some chemical friends.
