I have received a few quotes and so far the best by far has been from Florals by Alisa. They also have done some great stuff on their portfolio. I have also heard a lot of great things about Golden Gate.
Jen Cahill from the Tangled Web and Christine Chandler from Studio 539. They definitely have a diverse porfolio. My flowers are modern too. It's a tie for me right now although I still have one more florist to meet. Florals by Alisa also do beautiful work but they were unavailble for my date and from what I know, they are the most reasonable in terms of price. Nancy from Grandiflora does gorgeous work but she is really expensive in my opinion - same for Flowers by Semia and Stone Blossom (very expensive!) As for Jay from Golden Gate, he is a flower factory so he is really affordable and pretty creative too.
I met with Nancy Birch/Grandiflora, Golden Gate, Studio 539, The Flower Girls and Robin Hollow Farm and ended up going with Whole Foods in Cranston, who charged about one-fifth of what others wanted and I loved my flowers!
