I haven't done really much of anything wedding related in a few weeks! I keep thinking of stuff I could do but really there's not much.. Save the dates went out a few weeks ago. Weve done a ton of DIY things already, I do want to make our three tiered card box soon though. We are going BM dress shopping the 26th, glad I found a date that worked with everyone! But both my FSIL and MOH may soon be trying to have babies so well have to be sure to search for big belly friendly options. Our food tasting is next month on the 10th, then my dress should be in late October/early November.. It's getting to the point where we're just waiting for certain deadlines to hit.. Which is kind of exciting in a boring way because it means next time I'm crazy busy it'll be getting down to the final few weeks! I also started back at classes last week so that's been occupying most of my time. Anyone else in this lull? Or am I perhaps procrastinating without realizing?

I sort of feel the same..but make sure you are checking your list and getting the little things done. With some things, it's never too early, so save yourself the stress of running around the last week of your wedding. But even if it seems boring, taking a mental break is great and if classes are doing that for you...that's great! Take it as it comes. For example, last week, I didn't do anything wedding related and it felt soooooo good! Lol. Good luck. Time will fly FAST!
At times it feels dull, but I have sooo many DIY projects that I have been trying to get done now. I agree with PP, do not wait until last minute. I honestly feel like time is flying!
I do not want to be that bride in February and March still working on projects and running around to get things done. February and March are going to be crazy with hair and makeup trials, bridal shower, bachelorette party, fittings and final appointments with vendors. I am hoping to have all of my projects done by January so all we have left to do is send out our wedding invites, come up with the seating arrangements and put them on escort cards.

I've been trying to space out my projects as much as possible, while still getting things done months in advance! I've been doing a little bit every weekend with my Mother and it's really helped me stay on track with things, not get overwhelmed, but also make my wedding planning "last longer" I guess!
When I feel like I've hit a lull, I go back to my starting point and go over my to-do lists. Is there really NOTHING else I could be doing right now? Maybe I can work on my day-of schedule or start thinking about seating arrangements or how the venue will be set up or our vows or... The list is quite long really!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I just got engaged, so I was thinking "dull stage?" Then I realized that y'all have probably been engaged for a while...
I'm still crazy busy looking for my dress, figuring out colors, trying to get engagement pics done, and I don't even have my ring back from the jewelers yet! I am definitely a DIY person, so I will have tons to do for the next 7.5 months... I do love being busy though!
We are wanting to have a daytime wedding, so I am trying to figure out how to do the whole getting ready, taking pictures, not starving to death (I get REAL crabby if my blood sugar tanks), and when to end the reception. Schedules are a nightmare!
I'm at that point! I have everything done- all the dresses, all the planning.. everything to make my crafty stuff. I just have to actually make it, but it won't take long. So yeah, it will be pretty stress free for awhile, but also, slightly boring!
All good points and responses! My FMIL and I have already made ring bearer pillows, flower girl baskets, printed and stamped invites with custom monogram, bought flowers for the DIY ceremony flower arrangements, and some other small projects. We've picked music for our ceremony musician to play and went and listened to it on the piano and organ which really blew me away and made it so real and exciting. I feel like since we've paid all deposits, gotten engagement photos, sent STDs, that first initial wind is over and were starting to relax. I have been thinking a lot "what can I be doing" but there really isn't much to do except buying things here and there; bridesmaid gifts, accessories for me, candles, etc. I can't really think about seating arrangements until I have a better idea of who will be coming exactly. I was just thinking today we might go soon and pick out rings, that will be exciting!

If it makes you feel any better, I am a huge procrastinator and barely have any of my DIY projects started. I dont even have someone to marry us yet.... hopefully my January Ill have everything done. The good part though is 99% of the big things are done! After being engaged since New Years Eve, were finally getting our engagement pictures done on October 13th! lol
