Wedding Vows & Ceremony Discussions

question

Hi ladies,

Ok, I'm wearing a cathedral veil with a blusher for the ceremony, I was wondering do I keep the veil over my face until the officiant says you may kiss the bride or do I take it from over my face before then?

Re: question

  • Most times I've seen it, the father of the bride moves the blusher off her face before kissing her on the cheek, and handing her over to the groom

You can do what you want. My dad is lifting it off of my face before he sits down. I wanted it that way so that my face wasn't covered with the blusher the whole time of the ceremony. Hope that helps. :-)
  • Thanks ladies
  • I'm walking myself down the aisle, and while we haven't figured it out exactly, I was thinking that my FI would lift it when I get down the aisle so we can actually see each other.
  • I have seen it where the father of the bride does it of the FI either way
  • I'm having my dad remove it, but you can do it any way you want to do it!
