Where in Wisconsin do you live? Fi and I just moved to Sun Prairie a year ago, that's a big move when you lived in Madison your whole life. LOL.How old are you and your FI? I am 25 and FI turns 28 this weekWhat do you and your FI do for a living? I work for an online retailer and am finishing my business degree. Fi is a Project Manager and is in school for Criminal Justice.What is your wedding date? 9.17.2011 Does it have a meaning? Nope! I gave up on picking a date with a meaning and decided on one that was an away game for the Badgers.What are your wedding colors? Blue and whiteHave you bought your dress? Yes, I bought my dress in May. We have since moved our wedding date since I bought it. What vendors have you booked? Yes, Mahrin Bridal(Wedding dress),Lussier Family Heritage center(wedding/reception), Photographer(Craigslist), Baker(Mom)review? So far all of my vendors have been great EXCEPT for Mahrin Bridal. I do not recommend going there. I gave my price point to the lady and she didn't pull a single dress under or at my price. I feel in love with a dress I just saw in the store, she didn't pull it and I had to have it. I asked her who the designer was and she LIED to me. I love my dress though, just wish I didn't get it from there. In three words, describe who you were in High School? Slacker, quite, unmotivated.

How old are you and your FI? I'm almost 32, FI is 45

What do you and your FI do for a living? I am an Initial Assessment Social Worker-I assess families who have reports of child abuse and neglect; FI works for Roundy's making sausage in a store.

What is your wedding date? Does it have a meaning? 9/03/11-No real meaning, although our 1st date was Sept. 8. Our reception location has more meaning.

What are your wedding colors? Purple and Orange

Have you bought your dress? Yep, I bought it a few years ago during a prior engagment.

What vendors have you booked? Vera's Bridal in Madison (dress), Immaculate Conception Parish, South Shore Yacht Club, MBerlec Photography, J.C. Designs (video), Midwest Sound (DJ), Four Sisters Floral review? I haven't had any concerns yet.

Photographer is Sarah Immel, ceremony at Lake Country Congregational Church, reception at Broadlands Golf Club, dress and accessories were bought online from Jay's Bridal, bridesmaids' dresses from Beratti Bridal, tuxes from Men's Warehouse, flowers from Garden Party Florist, day of coordinator is Danica from Dreams & Designs, DJ is Midwest Sound, cake is from Extra Special Touch Bakery, ceremony musicians from Elegant Music Services, all of the paper stuff I made myself from products from Cards & Pockets and Paper and More - I love all of my vendors, my only complaint is that my baker isn't always great about timely communication

8/6/2011. The date doesn't really have a meaning, we just wanted to take advantage of the fact that I don't work summers and make it as late in the summer as possible before I go back to work. I'm a little nervous about only have 7-8 months to plan...we just got engaged last week.

No, and honestly I'm dreading shopping for it. I would like to lose about 40 pounds by my wedding and will not like any dress I try on with my current weight.

I am living in Eagle River right now, about 30 minutes from the UP border. I grew up in Green Bay.

4/30/11....no real special meaning. We wanted it before he gets back into busy season at work, and we started 'going out' on 5/1/04, so its a day earlier than our 'dating' anniversary. He's got a 2 day period incase he forgets the anniversary haha

Have you bought your dress? Yes! I love it, I got it about a year ago, so I have doubts every once in a while, just because there are so many new styles since then. But I still love it!

Reception- Heights Event Center in Stoughton (they have been AWESOME to work with. Very willing to work with you, help you out, etc)
Photographer- Photos by Yesenia (I grew up with her and have loved her work)
Flowers- Simply Glamorous Designs (She does it out of her home and does great! I have loved every one of her ideas and her flower arrangements I have seen. She has come up with great ideas that I couldn't even think of. I recommend her to anyone looking for a great, inexpensive florist)
DJ- Midwest Sound
Save the Dates- Vistaprint (they are great. I got them a lot faster than they said I would and love how they look)
Invites- Ann's Bridal Bargains (haven't ordered the invites yet but will be shortly. They are inexpensive and I love that you get many different choices of what you want everything say or if you don't like any, you can personalize your own)
Bridesmaid Dresses-David's Bridal (The dresses I picked are cotton and have hidden pockets that no one can see. The girls seem to love them)
Wedding Dress-Vera's Bridal Clearance (They were awesome. They have you look around first so you can get a feel of what they have and what you want than they ask you what you want and help pull some dresses. They allow you to go around and pull dresses you want to try on as well. I found mine by walking around looking)

Yup, has to be the same person. I met the younger sister that also did photography. The person I know is Yisel. I worked with her for about 1 year and a half. I was also looking into getting married at the Pavillion in Fitchburg, but I wasn't able to find much information on it.

How old are you and your FI? We are both 24. I will still be 24 when we get married and he will be 25.

What do you and your FI do for a living? I am a social worker - I work with disabled and elderly adults, ensuring that they receive adequate care and services.

What is your wedding date? Does it have a meaning? 6/18/11 - No meaning. We wanted a summer wedding, but not when it is too hot. The dates that our venue had open in June were 6/11 and 6/18. My parents anniversary is 6/12 and I didn't want to be a day apart from them.

What are your wedding colors? Watermelon Pink and Caribbean Blue

Have you bought your dress? Yes - From Amelishan. LOVE IT and LOVE the service I get there. The only other shop I looked at was Savvy in Brookfield and their customer service was AWFUL. I was very mad that they wasted 2 hours of my life. I will always refer people to Amelishan, but never to Savvy.

Nichole Baird; STD/Invitation paper and card stock - CardsandPockets.com (FI designed everything and we are printing everything ourselves at home); Engagement Ring/Band - Kay Jewelers; FI's Wedding Band - Rohr's Jeweler; We will be having our honeymoon at Spa Palace Resort in Mexico; We will be using Canopies for chair rentals; We have blocked rooms at Comfort Inn & Suites downtown Milwaukee and Residence Inn downtown Milwaukee; GLOW Salon and Spa for hair and makeup; Tuxes - Savvi Formal Wear; Rehearsal Dinner - Charro downtown Milwaukee

All of our vendors have been pretty great so far. The coordinator at our venue is a little disorganized and a little too carefree at times. But I love the venue and get along with her great. Our photographer took weeks to get our epics back to us even though she had promised them within 2 weeks after our epic session. Skyline Catering is reasonably priced and is a custom caterer so they will make just about anything you want.

Still need to figure out what we're doing for limo - any suggestions would be great!

I just started with BMCW in September of this year, but I was there in Sept. 2009 as part of Intro to the Bureau during my grad school field placement. So far my only experiences taking kids to CPC have been shadowing experiences and I've ended up in the waiting room.

August 27, 2011. No meaning, really. We got engaged August 16, 2010 and this wedding date gave us a good full year for planning.

Yes, love it! From Kay Bridal in Wauwatosa. Designer is Blue by Enzoani, style is "Ankara". More on that below!

What vendors have you booked? review?
So far I have:
Lisa Mathewson Photography--Adore her! My engagement pictures were so perfect, can't wait for her to capture my wedding! Prices were reasonable and her talent is astounding.
Silver Spring Golf & Banquet Center Menomonee Falls--My reception venue! I love that the room has big, almost floor-to-ceiling windows and large wooden dance floor. The backdrop for the head table is a wall of mason stone--gorgeous! Food is great too, and the price isn't breaking our budget.
Midwest Sound (DJ)-- Saw mixed reviews about this vendor but the price can't be beat! So far I've had a pleasant experience working with them, but time will tell when the big day comes.
Magnetstreet.com -- Used this site for my Save-the-Dates, which turned out wonderfully. Just ordered the invites this week--the online proofs look great! Can't wait to see them in person.
Kay Bridal -- After visiting several shops, trying on TONS of dresses, I found my dream dress at Kay Bridal! Unfortunately, it was quite out of my budget range, but luckily Lisa (owner) doesn't let customers touch the sample gowns outside of the fitting room, so they're all in great shape! I got my dream designer gown for half the price so it fit perfectly in my budget! As for alterations...
Becky's Custom Sewing Bay View -- After umpteen recommendations on these boards, I brought my gown to Becky's for alterations. The sample is a size 10, I'm something between a 4 and a 6. Becky is very knowledgeable, extremely sweet, and I trust her COMPLETELY with my gorgeous gown.
A Little Slice of Heaven Oconomowoc -- Lynn used to work for a bakery making wedding cakes. 3 years ago she started her own business right out of her lovely home! My fiance and I went to one and only one cake-tasting and that was hers! We got her specialty--the Champagne cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting. We're pretty sure it'll be a hit. Pricing was approximately $500 for 200 people.

Honeymoon? (yes I put this one in myself, hee hee)
We are staying 8 nights at the Excellence Riviera Cancun in Riviera Maya. I read a lot of great reviews and put so much research into picking our perfect all-inclusive resort. Can't WAIT!
