How long does it take to ship a dress!

Maybe it's me but I think 6 months is too long to be waiting on a wedding dress & I am trying to be nice, but did she really just tell me the date we gave you was an approximate ship date not exact??? Your weddings not till the end of Oct. No ma'am it's not it's at the beginning. Has anyone else had to wait this long?

    Well when I went dress shopping I thought I started 2 early but when I got in one bridal salon I knew I wanted a mori lee gown she old me that those gowns can take anywhere up to 4-6 months and when I went to daivid bridals I seen a vera wang gown the consultant said it can take up to 4-8 weeks so now I know I am not looking to early especially when u are looking at fittings and alterations

    Yes i think 4-6 months is pretty standard even though I do agree it's a long time. I ordered in May & I the date they gave me is 10-19-12 for my dress to arrive at the store for 1st fitting.

    I ordered my dress in feb and it won't be in until sept!

    Ok lol I guess I wont flip out on these people. Thanks, I feel better now Laughing I also ordered a mori lee gown, but I guess the wedding dresses take longer than the bridesmaids dresses b/c those came 1st. & omg I hate David's bridal but I saw the new collection of vera wang & almost gave my mori lee a 2nd thought. Im sure I'll get the feeling again when I get to put on my dress again

    Its pretty standard,  But, ladies, you dont really want your dress to show up too far in advanced just for it to be stored.  Im so glad that I can pick mine up the day before. 

    I know I know you get anxious to do the fitting but, the closer to the date the better

    I ordered my in January and It came in July. That is usually standard and the more designer it is, it could take up to 9 months, but I didn't run into a situation like that.

    My dress is a mori lee and was told it would be 4-6 months. I ordered mine in the middle of april and it came in last thursday.
