hair and make-up for bridal party

Ok, so I'm really starting to regret the gigantic wedding party.
Our ceremony is at noon - I have 10 bridesmaids (grooms fault haha - huge family).
Anyways, three of the bridesmaids are expereinced with hair, however I know I am still going to need to hire someone the day of to help, my question is - is one person enough?! I could hire a person for make-up at $25 a person ... and then someone else to help with hair- but I think I may need 2 people. We are all going to be at my house. I'm talking to the bridesmaids about what they think as well, - I don't want them to have to pay for it, as they are paying alot already for all of their accessories, etc. A salon would be too much time and money I think. But would love some insight.
P.S. Ideas for birdesmaids gifts that wont cost a fortune?

I have 7 girls in my party (also too large for me so I totally understand your feelings...) and we are doing hair and makeup the day of also. I am having two people but that is mainly because I want to make sure we're covered if someone runs late or my hair takes too long. One girl is experienced in both hair and makeup so that's what I find will be helpful because in the beginning they can both start on hair but after the first girl finishes her hair, she can move right onto makeup and since that usually is a little quicker, she can assist the hairdresser in between makeup.

As far as gifts go, what is your price range?

I have been getting things for the girls since last year basically. Last Christmas, Mavys had these $50 watches on sale for 50% off plus I had two coupons so I ended up only spending $7.50 per watch for them and then during the last Victoria's Secret semi annual sale I loaded up on all the body lotions and gels and stuff and I am making baskets for them all with all that stuff too. Last thing I am getting them is a silver chain with a snowflake pendent that matches the watch (it's a winter themed wedding.) So total I am spending on each girl is less than $50. I'm also buying them their shawls for outdoor pictures and fake Uggs from Payless. I figure if I'm forcing them to take pictures outside in January it's the least I can do!

Thank you so much! That is very helpful!
I think for gifts I am going to make them clutches, customize a photo frame with a group shot of all of us in it and then possibly shawls as well. The payless Uggs are a really cute idea - mine is in December, so I should probably do something like that too! Thanks for the ideas and input!

For hair and makeup, I highly recommend Mia Crivaro.  She and her assistant did a great job on two of my birdesmaids and myself:

Of course! I love the idea of the fake Uggs because if it does snow or even if it's just really cold, they don't have to worry about picking shoes based on that insteadf of what is cute. We're actually going to get a pair of all of us hiking our skirts up to take a picture of us all in our dresses and boots which I think is going to be pretty cute hehe. I love the idea of making a gift! So personal and creative!
