Length vs style

I've run into a slight dilemma with bridesmaid dresses. My wedding has an elegant Victorian theme, and I had hoped to have the girls in long, lace dresses (mine is very princess-like with a touch of lace as well). The problem is, I can't find these within the girls' budgets and I am in no way shape or form telling them to buy online. I had picked out a few styles at DB that I thought we could work with. One is lace but short, which I feel would sacrifice the elegant feel. The other is long but isn't as antique looking.
If it were you, what would you do?

Re: Length vs style

  • what about the long one but with a lace shawl for each of the girls? that could be really pretty
also have you looked up the designer nataya? they have gorgeous vintage inspired stuff, more titanic edwardian, tea dress looking but lots of lace and very pretty
