My first car was a stick so I have no issues driving them.  I think they're fun but not for city driving.

Sure do!!!! I learned to drive on a stick when I was 16...and then I owned a VW Jetta for like 5yrs that was a stick....I now drive an automatic and from time to time I do miss my stick!

My first car was a stick.  My fiance has an rx-8 so I can drive his car - when I get the chance. It's so much fun driving a sports car.

I did learn at some point in my teenage years, but never had a car with a stick, so I never got good.  Not sure if I would be able to get it around!  Hahahahaha!

No. In theory I do, but turning left from a stoplight is an issue. I'm always SO afraid of stalling, especially in a major intersection!

My husband actually has a manual car, and I've driven it, uh, twice. I'd love to lean, I just don't think he's a very good teacher! He came back from college one summer and his younger sister had learned to drive their mom's stick shift car, so he just learned that summer, too. Then he inherited his mom's car, then he bought his sister's car, both sticks.

No - I tried once and hit my "play" cousin with the car - that scared me so bad I never tried again.

I have driven stick shift before, DH took me for a few drives around the block and i wasnt too bad. I didnt really keep practicing though, maybe sometime I will learn since his car is stick shift and it would be convenient to know how to drive that. Looks like fun but its not my "thing" to have a stick shift car...DH looks better in it. lol

Yup!  My first couple of cars were all sticks!  I remember learning to drive and thinking "man I am never gonna get this!'  My dad would take me to practice and the passenger seat was broken, so everytime I stalled, he would go flying backwards.  Then he would start cursing and of course I couldn't stop laughing.  Then I stalled my car everyday for the first month after I got my license.

Yeah! I had a stick VW Bug when I was 18 and my stepdad taught me how to drive it.  My current car is a stick as well. Like jagore said, they are fun for driving the backroads, but no fun when you're stuck in LA traffic :(
