Far Northern Wisc. brides?

Anyone?

I'll be planning a wedding back home in either Vilas or Iron County next late summer/early fall...from Texas.    Not easy when there are very few online vendors and what not for that particular area.

Are there any future brides from Vilas, Iron, Oneida counties that could offer any info on officiants, chair rentals, bakeries, etc.?

Thanks a ton!  Happy planning all.

I looked into a Mincoqua, WI wedding but decided not to. Here are a couple of sites I had saved, with vendors around the northern WI area:

oooh, how have I not seen that minocquawedding site!?  We won't be getting married IN Minocqua, but I know that site will be helpful.  Thanks a bunch!

Just a heads up, not sure if this is a concern for you but it was for my FI.  Your wedding date falls on the opening weekend of gun deer hunting. Being from the Northwoods (a favorite home-away-from-home for me as my family lives near Trout Lake) hunting season is a big deal for some grooms to be as well as guests.

I am getting married in Green Bay but have always had a cabin or family in Minocqua and Eagle River.

I don't know if this helps at all, but a good friend of mine had her wedding and reception at The Waters in Minocqua. It was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were nice, the tent for her outdoor reception was great (I think that The Waters provided it but I could be wrong). They had a rule that the outdoor celebration had to stop at some point (I think midnight?) BUT they had a very spacious indoor area with a bar and dance floor and we were allowed to migrate the party into there for the wee hours of the morning. All of the staff were very polite to us as well.

I'm from Minocqua WI and I will be getting married in Manitowish Waters in June.  The Waters makes you shut down at 10pm (not midnight) and it is okay...but if you are going to be in an area surrounded by beautiful lakes, why wouldn't you get married (or have your reception) and want your guests to stay directly on one?  Just a thought..
Dillmans has a beautiful venue/reception site, as does Norwood Pines restaurant.  As for vendors, Sams rentals does a good job with chairs, tents, etc. and I think most people bring in a DJ from Wausau, mainly because there aren't many options in Minocqua area. Hope this helps!
