So we are now researching DJs for our wedding in the lower Hudson Valley, and I was hoping some of you lovely ladies would have some suggestions. To give a little background into what we're looking for:
We're looking for a non-cheesy DJ who really knows about music, not just the typical songs on the radio and songs that are played at every wedding. Ideally, someone who has experience doing more than weddings, like spinning at clubs/events, opening for headlining DJs at concerts or music festivals such as the Electric Zoo or Ultra Music Festival, etc. I love House, Techno, Trip-Hop and similar genres, so I would love to have someone who is knowledgeable about these genres as well as more mainstream music that will appeal to a wider variety of guests. Scratch Weddings is the only company I've found so far that seems to have just what I'm looking for, unfortunately they are out of budget for us. Any ideas?
