TGIF! I so hope husband is coming home tonight. He's driving so I'm not sure when he's leaving Chicago.

I got the dog to sleep in a little longer this morning, but I need to sleep in tomorrow.

Any weekend plans?

Just work today and then tonight I have to prepare for my event tomorrow. I turned into a mega-girl last night and tried on like 7 different outfits and I still don't know what to wear. But, the closet does show my indecisiveness, haha. I'm thinking of this zigzaggy patterned skirt but can't choose a shirt. Then I have to get the books together.

Finally Friday!

Should be an easy day at work. Fridays are usually quiet.

We have tickets to see The Dixie Swim Club at a local theater tonight. Should be fun.

Morning ladies. Sesh- good luck at the event! Kd- have fun with h. Nothing major going on for me today. Pretty lazy day. We got the driveway seal coated yesterday so we cant park in it for 24 hours. Thats about all the excitement for me today

Blue, I hate when the landlords sealcoat their driveway. It's really long, so we have to park way out at the end of the road (and you can't see the cars from the house, so it's risky) and then walk through a wooded area to get to the house. Not pleasant.

Morning! I'm so glad it's Friday. I think I'm going to leave work a little early today and get some things ready for my ILs visit. Last night H and I cleaned off our front porch. Guys, there were literally a HUNDRED of these (I counted):

Do you know what those are? Those contain a gazillion little baby black widow spiders. Do you know how you have to get rid of them? By lighting them on fire. Yeah, that was absolutely zero fun for me. I said H and I did it but let's face it, H did it while I supervised.

OMG! That just totally freaked me out.

Just for the record, I have selfish/sleepy motives for wanting husband home early ;)
Not really, he's leaving me again next Tuesday and wont be back till Sunday, I hate it when it's week after week.

I pulled in the driveway the other night, but didnt pull in the garage because I needed to take the trash out. I get out of my truck and find something on the ground, upon further inspection it seems I've run over one of my frogs, ugh! I'm waiting on husband to come home and remove it, I almost cried. I'm avoiding it at all costs now.

I know, it was so freaking creepy. I keep searching for deterrents, but apparently BWs are monstrous things that have no deterrents or fears.

Oh kd, that would have grossed me out, too. I don't do well with creepy crawly nature.

Friday's are 'going out to supper so I don't have to cook after all week' nights. We usually go to a family restaurant, but there's not a whole lot of choice here. I'm picking up paint for dds room - I promised her when we moved in in June that it would be the first room painted. And it will be! (We were gone all of July and have been building the garage since, and while the garage isn't done, the work that I can do on it is getting less and less).

This weekend I will learn grade eight math all over, paint a room and make a new workout plan. Nothing terribly exciting.

Shay- I love my frogs and toads, we have a little pond behind our house and I just sit at watch them in the water, it's nothing to have 30 or more in there. H will stop the mower and move them if they are in the way.

I like my creatures, except for those damn spiders, yuck!

Shay, black widows? They must be common in your area. My mom lives on the Gulf coast and while I've seen many oddbugs/spiders/amphibians, I don't think she's ever mentioned black widows.

KD - gorgeous here in Chicago this morning, but I'm sure you'd rather have H home instead of here.

It's H's family weekend. I'm off work today so the MiL and the SiLs and I are spending a ladies day together. Tomorrow is MiL's 80th b-day party at our house. Pulling together everything at the last minute. And of course, the cat decided to christen the newly shampooed carpeting by yakking up her breakfast.

What's weird is, this is the first season I've seen so many of them. I've seen a max of five (and probably not even that many) in the 4 years we've lived in the house. This year though has been intense. I know it's not just us either because when I was out for a run, I noticed several of our neighbors trash cans had some on it, too. Gah gross.

jcb, I wish I was playing golf. The driving range by our house just closed so we can't even go out there anymore. I think we're going to start looking more seriously for a club to join.

Oh Shay, gross!

I'm rushing to get to a paper done that's due today. I have a house to go clean so I need to get my butt in gear. At least it's Friday so hopefully if I get that done and a few online quizzes out of the way, maybe I'll be able to just play around all weekend without any chores to do besides fun ones.

I'm so sad. My Dad passed away 15 years ago today. It was a gorgeous early fall day, just like today. I miss him so much. And I had a horrible dream that my brother got beat up at a mafia/gang like restaurant that he mistakenly went to.

KD-we have a new resident treefrog living on our front porch. He is so freakin loud but really cute. He lets me pet him and just sits there. I named him Ferguson. He looks like a Ferguson.

shay- I heard that around here black widows are more populous this year and I can't really remember the reason but, I think it's because of the dry conditions this year.

Morning. Shay that's gross to think about. Blue are you feeling better? I have a busy day today and then we leave tomorrow morning for 4 days in Cleveland then 4 days in WI with a baby shower in each location. I'm not looking forward to spending 4 days at MIL's house. We mentioned getting a hotel cause her house is going to be full with BIL living there, his GF coming to visit and SIL in town too but the thought made her cry so we are sucking it up and staying there.

Shay, yikes! I had no idea those were BW "eggs" (?) but I'll be on the lookout for them now since BW's are pretty common here. My old boss had a scorpion problem at his house and when nothing else worked he took to going out at night with a black light (makes the scorpions glow) and a blow torch.

Les, big hugs to you. My dad passed away in 1993 and Monday was his birthday so I was a little weepy.

I've got to run out today and get a collared shirt for that charity golf tournament H signed me up to work tomorrow. jcb, how long does 18 holes take? I suspect it's going to be a long day tomorrow since we have to be there at 5:30 to set up and tee time is at 7:15.

Aww Loopy 4 days in a crowded house does not sound fun!

I used to get all upset when my fiance would suggest we stay at a hotel instead of with my relatives, but after two times, I told him to remind me about how ready I am to leave each evening. Two reasons, the uncle we usually stay with does not use an AC properly and I am usually ready for my space from the relatives by that time.

I hope you have a great trip. This time of year always has me missing Ohio, where I did 3 years in law school.

Dot, enjoy your fitting! As sick and tired as I was with wedding planning, every time I got to put on my dress it made me happy and excited again. That is the exact reason why I left it at the bridal shop until the day before the wedding. I knew I would take it out and put it on (and probably ruin it) if I brought it home.

Loopy, good luck with the ILs. Mine are visiting this weekend... I love them but, well, I feel your pain.

Good almost afternoon!

I don't ususally post a lot but I need to be an AW today. It is my 50th birthday! I didn't think I was going to handle it well but so far I'm doing ok. Dinner with mom and daughter at the Melting Pot, tomorrow to the new aquarium, the casino and lunch at Chocolate Bar.

This is my decade! I'm getting out of situations that don't make me happy, including ending it with my Fiance'. After two years of a long distance "relationship" and he can't seem to get himself here I can't do it anymore. I've started talking to a new guy last weekend but he had to go out of the country on business and I'm hoping he will be back next week. No more online dating!!

Have a great day and warm thoughts for everyone struggling today.
