September 2012 Weddings

wedding party info

FH wants to have a picnic for our wedding party so everyone can meet hang out and getting some wedding info outta the way.  i was going to make some info folders for  them including;

everyone's phone numbers
ceremony addy
job assign to specific person ex: MOH in charge of handling the train of the dress
hotel info
RH info
day of timeline

can you girls think of anything else i should add?

  • If you haven't already told the girls, shoe and jewelry information.  Depends on when you have the picnic, but information on where the guys are supposed to call in their measurements for tuxes and where and when to pick them up/drop them off.  You may want to tell them black socks only or whatever you prefer.

  • Looks like you have everything covered!

    Just one comment: The job assigned to people, I hope that's seomthing they're already aware of, and nothing too time consuming or difficult (and maybe even something that they already volunteered for). I wouldn't want to appear zilla-ish, or imposing things on people that they don't want to do.

    lol nothing to crazy just helping me bustle my train up and hair and make up....simple things
  • I was in a very efficient bridal party where people had even more jobs-

    One 'maid and one 'man were in charge of wrangling up everyone for pictures and getting everyone together for the formal group pictures (VERY helpful for those family shots when Uncle John keeps wondering away)

    One maid was in charge of handing out all the envelopes with tips to the vendors-

    One man was in charge of touching base with the parking attendant and making sure no lights were on, etc.

    'Maid and 'Man in charge of transporting the gifts to the appointed location.

    (You get the jist.  Everyone knew what they were supposed to do.  The most important one of these was def the picture wranglers.  We got ALL the formal shots done in 21 minutes which is incredible, seeing as that included both bridal party and families.)

  • Yes I love this too!  And I really like the idea of someone getting people for pictures.  I feel like we may have this issue more with the WP though than with the family haha.  Gotta keep people focused somehow.
  • That's an awesome idea!  And I always appreciate when I'm part of a bridal party and my "duties" are clearly laid out for me.
