Hair and Makeup needed on the North Shore

Can any one suggest a good place to get hair and makeup done for myself and my wedding party in the Danvers/Peabody area?

Are you looking for a salon to go to or someone to come to your location?

Sarah Guy.  I forget the name of the salon but it's in Beverly.  She will come to you for a fee.  She's pretty reasonable (I think around 70 or so for hair and 40 or so for make up) and she's wonderful with a great personality and tons of experience.  PM me for her phone number if you're interested!

I live on the north shore and I am using Special Event Beauty.  They're out of Bridgewater, MA, but the travel to you....I had to go to them for my hair and make-up trial and they were really nice.  A lot of people on theknot.com have recommended them, which is why I decided to try them...good luck

I have 6 bridesmaids plus myself so if someone comes to us I think we would need more than one person?  Maybe it would be better to go to a salon?

Most places that come to you bring multiple people. Like sunflower331, I worked with Special Event Beauty. 3 people came on the day of the wedding and they did hair and makeup for 4 bridal party ladies, 2 moms, and me.

I went to Backstage Salon in Rowley, MA which is a salon right on route 1. I personally didn't get the best experience with them but I would still recommend them. I thought it was wierd that the salon didn't confirm my appointments, so I called the day before to make sure we were still okay. Luckily, I called to confirm because they said that I had cancelled them in February (which I didn't obv). However, they were pleasant in resolving the issue and fit us all in. Because of this, I had to see someone different than at my trial, but I was okay with it. If you do go with them, I would recommend just calling to confirm a few days before and have your trial with their bridal hair coordinator-- she was really nice and ended up doing my hair! The woman who also did my make-up was great.

Because of the mix-up, our appointments were a little staggered but it worked out fine. There was a Mc'ds around the corner and they were very welcoming with letting us bring food in and hang out. If I had to do it again, I would have probably had someone come to us however, I'm assuming it's a lot more relaxing and they would be able to bring more than 1 person in to help. Good luck!

Salon Trends in Danvers is awesome aske for Stacey. Skin 21 in Middleton is amazing for makeup and Arlene will travel to the salon or your home. Both are very reasonable and provide beautiful work.
