Ok creative knotties....with edit:

EDIT:  Our favor is the photobooth...not having additional favors...we thought about the photostrip frames, but we don't want to spend the extra money...but if we do decide to do that, then, I'll need a fun idea for the magnet photostrip frames...

I need some help with figuring out how to display the escort cards...For a little background on those who do not know or don't remember the wedding info:  We're getting married in a restored theatre & the reception will be held in their 'grand' ballroom.

Here are the escort cards:

What I know I do not want are the picture holders/frames or ribbon boards:

I saw this on my search & liked this, but I don't think it will go with the venue:

Any help is awesome!!!!  Thank you!

  • I'm sorry, I have no suggestions. I'm trying to figure this out as well for mine- but I wanted to say I LOVE your escort cards! I love how that goes with the theme of your venue!

Ok, I'm off to find/think of ideas. I will let you know if I come up with anything lol

  • Maybe if you change the style of the box it would go better with your venue. You could probably find something either white or a nice wire type box. I'm not seeing much online, but I've seen them at store locally.

    Hmm that's a tough one!

Are you doing favors? You could attach the tickets to the favor, if so.

Or maybe line them up in trays (like these <- clicky) and have signs that say "A-L" "M-Z" or whatever like a will call.

I'll keep thinking of ideas for ya!

  • It is a tough one! Your hall looks beautiful! I agree that the box is a little bit rustic, while the hall appears more formal (I can't quite see the details though because I'm on my phone). I like the suggestion of attaching them to the favors. Have you thought of maybe attaching them to dowels or even drink stirrers and sticking them into styrofoam? You could decorate the styrofoam with flowers or fabric or something that ties in with the ballroom. This way you get a 3-D display of the cards (which are super cute by the way).
  • I have no ideas for you, but I love the venue!

  • okay so.. here are some ideas.

I don't know if you have your favors picked out yet or how formal your event is but I thought maybe you could attach your escort cards to mini bags of popcorn OR lollipops like this.

Or you could put them in a differnet type of box, something more like this one

  • I love the ticket escord cards, so cute!

So this was a baseball wedding but you get the idea. Their's has peanuts inside but you could put popcorn, or even just pretty purple rocks or something.

  • I'm with the people who sugested to set it up like will call. Since it used to be a theatre is there a box office type space?? If so set up boxes or trays there with the tickets and signs for the alphabet. On a different note, I'm so jelous of your venue! I'm a total theatre nerd and that is so cool. Also, we did ticket escort cards for my Bat Mitzvah, but they were still foldable so that they would stand on their own, so thats another thought if you haven't made them yet. I can try and find a picture if you'd like. They were actually made using the templete from the prop tickets for "Springtime for Hitler" from The Producers because my moms friend does the props for that show on broadway.
