Thanks for the tips!

Just wanted to say that I read the board often to get beauty tips. I had wanted to try under-makeup primer for awhile based on the comments I read on this board. Well, I finally decided to get some yesterday. I took my engagement pictures last night, and I wanted to make sure that my makeup stayed in place throughout the shoot.

I could not believe the difference it made. I have oily skin, and I usually get shiny really fast. My skin looked perfect all afternoon and night with the primer. Not even a hint of shine. I'll never go without it again.

Which one did you go with?

  • I got the Prime Time by bareMinerals. I don't like their make-up, so it took me awhile to try it. It's great though.
  • Yay!  another primer convert!  we're starting a revolution up in here
  • You all also converted me to the Mia. I really like it. It hasn't been helping as much lately with the breakouts though, but it's because I've been under so much stress.

I love the Mia! I never tried BM primer and I use their makeup every day. I've never even heard of people using primer until this board : )

Jenn, what kind of cleanser are you using with the Mia? I use the whole Murad system and it seems to work ok on my skin.

  • I've been using the liquid Cetaphil cleanser. I try to keep things as mild as possible because my skin is super sensative. I usually do spot treatments after washing my face at night with a clay/sulphur mask. My chin has been breaking out like crazy lately though because of me being stressed out. I may need to switch things up.
