Card Box alternatives?

(Not to knock Kendall's awesome birdcage, because it rocks!)

I was just wondering about what other ideas are out there for spring-inspired card box alternatives? I don't want to use a box or a birdcage, but I haven't really seen any other nifty ideas. I was kinda thinking a big, decorated flower pot, but our favors are mini pots. Would this be too much? I also thought about maybe having people clip them up with clothes pins on some twine, like clothes on a line! haha

What do you guys think? I want something spring-y, if possible!

Thank you Kendall!!! Haha you are amazing! These are very cute. I'll let you know what I find and decide on! This weekend will be a hobby lobby adventure, so I'm bound to come up with something DIY to get started on!

I just saw pictures of a wooden box that was painted to look antique. SO cute. I hadn't thought about my card box yet, but now I am! haha Guess it kinda depends on the style and feel of your wedding!

P.s. I love the birdcage idea, kendall!

I don't think a flower pot would be too much. It would be a cute tie-in to the favours.

The 'clothes line' idea is really cute too!!

And like Kendall posted - there are many ways to go about one!

I love some of the ideas that PP's have had! Our's is not really too spring-y but we are using a wooden wine crate as our card box. We're getting married in a post and beam building with a sort of cottage feel and I think it will go well. And you can probably get them free from a liquor store in your area (I got mine from the LCBO here in Ontario).

Since you're doing flower pots, I thought I'd mention this. When my cousin got married she was having an outdoor wedding. She decided to get a wooden chest from Hobby Lobby and painted it like a garden and cut a slit in the top for their card box. She now uses it for her hand tools for the garden.
